San Daniele del Friuli (Friulian: Sant Denêl) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 km northwest of Trieste and about 20 km northwest of Udine.

San Daniele del Friuli borders the following municipalities: Dignano, Forgaria nel Friuli, Majano, Osoppo, Pinzano al Tagliamento, Ragogna, Rive d'Arcano, Spilimbergo.

San Daniele is world famous for its manufacture and expertise of Prosciutto, (also known as Speck.

San Daniele is especially known as the production center of the San Daniele ham, and every summer at the end of June there is the Aria di Festa; an event about ham. It is considered the capital of Friulian language.
