Preone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 110 km northwest of Trieste and about 45 km northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 292 and an area of 22.4 km².[1]
Preone borders the following municipalities: Enemonzo, Socchieve, Tramonti di Sotto, Verzegnis, Vito d'Asio.
