Drenchia (Slovene: Dreka) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 60 km north of Trieste and about 35 km northeast of Udine, on the border with Slovenia. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 173 and an area of 13.4 km².[1] According to the census 1971 57,3% of the population are Slovenians
Drenchia borders the following municipalities: Kanal ob Soči (Slovenia), Kobarid (Slovenia), Grimacco, Tolmin (Slovenia).
