Ronchis is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 60 km northwest of Trieste and about 30 km southwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,981 and an area of 18.5 km².[1]
The municipality of Ronchis contains the frazione (subdivision) Fraforeano.
Ronchis borders the following municipalities: Latisana, Palazzolo dello Stella, Rivignano, San Michele al Tagliamento, Teor, Varmo, Lignano Sabbiadoro.
