Plaus (Archaic (1270 AD): Palus; Latin: Palus) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 70 km north of the city of Trento and about 30 km northwest of the city of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 596 and an area of 187.0 km².[1]
Plaus borders the following municipalities: Algund, Naturns and Partschins.
