Margreid an der Weinstraße (Italian: Magrè sulla strada del vino; Latin: Margretum) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 25 km northeast of the city of Trento and about 25 km southwest of the city of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,188 and an area of 13.9 km².[1]
The municipality of Margreid contains the frazione (subdivision) Favogna di Sotto (Unterfennberg).
Margreid borders the following municipalities: Kurtatsch an der Weinstraße, Kurtinig an der Weinstraße, Neumarkt, Roverè della Luna and Salorno.
