Mölten (Italian: Meltina) is a comune (municipality) in the province of Bolzano-Bozen in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 60 km north of Trento and about 12 km northwest of Bolzano. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,523 and an area of 36.9 km².[1]
The municipality of Mölten contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Salonetto-Frassineto and Vallesina.
Mölten borders the following municipalities: Gargazon, Burgstall, Jenesien, Sarntal, Terlan and Vöran.
