Per the nature of FM radio, the station may operate at full power 24 hours a day, expanding WVNN's reach at night by 20 miles in each direction.

Notable weekday programming includes a local show hosted by Dale Jackson plus syndicated shows hosted by Bill Bennett, Neal Boortz, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingraham[2], Mark Levin[3], Mike Gallagher, and Michael Medved.
[edit] Sports
WVNN carries University of Alabama football during the fall, normally on Saturday afternoons.[4] On Friday evenings during the fall, WVNN carries high school football games from nearby Athens High School and Sparkman High School. It is not uncommon to hear WVNN simulcast with sister station WUMP ("SportsRadio 730, The UMP") during live sports programming.
[edit] History
The station, previously signed WWXQ, was acquired by Cumulus Media from Clear Channel Communications in April 2006, as part of a two-station deal that also included 94.1 WXQW (which is now WHRP). When owned by Clear Channel, the 92.5 and 94.1 signals were simulcasting an oldies music format; Clear Channel moved that station to 100.3 FM, with the callsign WQRV. 92.5 FM was also a Decatur, Alabama, station in the 1950s as WMSL-FM and WHOS-FM. The station was assigned the WVNN-FM call letters by the Federal Communications Commission on April 6, 2006.[1]
