KMGQ is a commercial radio station in Goleta, California, broadcasting to the Santa Barbara, California area on 106.3 FM.
KMGQ airs a smooth jazz music format branded as "Magic 106.3".
[edit] History
The station began broadcasting in 1982, with the KMGQ call letters. By 1998, the station switched to a country format, branded "Country 106.3", and changed the call sign to KKSB. In 2001, the station switched to a CHR format to compete with KIST-FM. However, it failed, and the station went to air an oldies format. In March 2005, Cumulus decided to dispose the oldies format, and moved the smooth jazz format from KRUZ 97.5 to KKSB. As a result, the station reverted back to its old call letters.
