KIST-FM signed on in 1997 as a commercial oldies music radio station. In 2000, the format was changed to commercial Top 40 music under the branding of "KISS-FM".
On September 8, 2004, the format was changed to a commercial modern rock music format under the branding "FM 107.7".
On January 16, 2007, the format was changed to Regional Mexican under the branding of "Radio Bronco".
