Salassa is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Turin in the Italian region Piedmont, located about 35 km north of Turin. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,681 and an area of 5.0 km².[1]
The municipality of Salassa contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Regione Burone, Cascina Fenale, Pianter, and Borgata Valleri.
Salassa borders the following municipalities: Castellamonte, Valperga, Rivarolo Canavese, San Ponso, and Oglianico.
