Welcome to the assessment department of WikiProject Schools! This department focuses on assessing the quality of Wikipedia's School articles. While much of the work is done in conjunction with the WP:1.0 program, the article ratings are also used within the project itself to aid in recognizing excellent contributions and identifying topics in need of further work.

If you have just rated an article, please leave a short summary here to explain the ratings and/or to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the article.

Ratings are done in a distributed fashion through parameters in the {{WPSchools}} project banner; this causes the articles to be placed in the appropriate sub-categories.

Contents

[edit] Frequently asked questions

How can I get my article rated?
Please list it in the section for assessment requests below.
Who can assess articles?
Any member of the Schools WikiProject is free to add—or change—the rating of an article. However, please review WP:COI before rating an article you are heavily involved in.
What if I don't agree with a rating?
You can list it in the section for assessment requests below, and someone will take a look at it. Alternately, you can ask any member of the project to rate the article again.
Aren't the ratings subjective?
Yes, they are, but it's the best system we've been able to devise; if you have a better idea, please don't hesitate to let us know!

If you have any other questions not listed here, please feel free to ask them on the discussion page for this department.

[edit] Instructions

An article's assessment is generated from the class and importance parameters in the {{WPSchools}} project banner on its talk page:

{{WPSchoolsAssessment
 |class=
 |importance=
}}

If the article already has an infobox, add the line: needs-infobox=no. By adding "info=<text of assessment>" this template will generates a boilerplate assessment text.

[edit] Process

  1. Tag an article related to this project (or look at a tagged article)
  2. Read the article and analyze it
  3. Place your assessment in the {{WPSchools}} or {{WPSchoolsAssessment}} banner on the articles talk page (According to the scales below)
  4. Write a short summary and post it on the talk page (in the info parameter if you are using {{WPSchoolsAssessment}}) and in the Assessment Summaries section below

[edit] Quality scale

School articles are graded for quality according to the Wikipedia 1.0 Assessment Scale.

The following values may be used for the class parameter to describe the quality of the article:

Note: You should not assign any article GA, A or FA grades arbitrarily. These grades must pass through official Wikipedia channels and undergo a Peer Review process.

[edit] Importance scale

School articles are rated on this importance scale. Importance must be regarded as a relative term. If importance values are applied within this project, these only reflect the perceived importance to this project and to the work groups the School falls under. An article judged to be "Top-Class" in one context may be only "Mid-Class" in another project. The criteria used for rating article priority are not meant to be an absolute or canonical view of how significant the topic is. Rather, they attempt to gauge the probability of the average reader of Wikipedia needing to look up the topic (and thus the immediate need to have a suitably well-written article on it).

If you have made significant changes to an article and would like an outside opinion on a new rating for it, please feel free to list it below. If you assess an article, please strike it off using <s>Strike-through text</s> so that other editors will not waste time going there too. Old and fulfilled requests are periodically removed from the list.

Please note: If you aim for an article to be promoted to GA, A, or FA class, please consider requesting a peer review as well so the article can be exposed to closer scrutiny from a broader group of editors. This section is also not intended to replace Wikipedia:Good article nominations and Wikipedia:Featured article candidates.

Add requests to the bottom of this list, please also sign your request by adding four tildes (~~~~):

  • Baton Rouge Magnet High School (B / Mid) Current article is of a good length, has some references, includes pictures, and s info-box, giving it B class. Alumni, awards and history show this school has reasonable Mid importance. For GA class the article will need significant improvement with referencing, many sections such as 'Alumni' are currently completely unreferenced. This will also help the article follow WP:NPOV, which there currently some issues with, note that for GA the article will have to be in a stable state i.e no disputes over content in progress. I notice some school lyrics are included in the article - I would suggest these are checked to follow copyright and if alright are moved to WikiSource and linked to from the article. Do however include some information about the lyrics in context to the school if notable. For the 'Extracurricular activities' section try and convert this to prose if possible and put it into context, see WP:SCH#WNTI. Finally, try and make sure the article follows WP:MOS, for examples titles should only have the first letter of the first word capitalised unless it is a proper noun. Camaron1 | Chris (talk) 21:05, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Bunscoill Ghaelgagh (Start/High) a primary school on the Isle of Man. It is the only school that teaches in the Manx laguage hence high. Needs a correct photo and some input from the school. The article has been improved and will be a "Did You know" in next 4 days or so. Victuallers (talk) 18:34, 5 January 2008 (UTC)
  • City Academy High School (Start|High) I think this is important school as first charter, but I'm not American. However I intend to get this on the front page in next 5 days so please assist. In the UK, the government is pushing "city academies"... coincidence? Victuallers (talk) 22:06, 17 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Salisbury Cathedral School (Stub|High) over 900 years old, founded by a French saint who was a cousin of the King. Still has impressive alumni. Loooks as if it will be on the front page in next few days as a "start" article. You can claim joint authorship if you act now. Victuallers (talk) 17:28, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
  • Lely High School (Stub|Low) only has some general information mainly only of interest to the school's students and staff. I also removed some unencyclopedic information. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 19:54, 26 January 2008 (UTC)
  • The King's School, Ely (Start|high) very old school - nice looking pages getting better but still avoiding doing references. see talk page Victuallers (talk) 21:58, 26 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] February 2008

  • PCHS (Dab / NA) is a disambig page. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 19:28, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Charlotte High School (Dab / NA) is a disambig page. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 19:38, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Venice High School (Dab / NA) is a disambiguation page. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 19:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
  • LBHS (Dab / NA) is a disambiguation page. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 19:47, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Template:WPSchools (Template / ???) is a template. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 19:59, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
    • Marked as NA importance, as standard for templates. Camaron | Chris (talk) 20:48, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Lake Orion High School (Start / Low) Requested. No external references. Some weasle phrases. Could also use a little list and cruft cleanup. Adam McCormick (talk) 04:02, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Rickmansworth School (Start / Low) Requested. No external references. Adam McCormick (talk) 04:05, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Triam Udom Suksa School (B / Mid) Requested. Overall, this is a good article. Plenty of content, an infobox, pictures, and some references. This article could eventually reach GA status with further work. The biggest issue with the article at the moment is references - it has enough for B class, but not enough for anything higher. In particular some sections such as Campus have no references at all, and with WP:BLP it is important the alumni section is well referenced. When adding more references try and add as much variety as possible, both primary and secondary sources can be used as necessary. The article contains pretty much all the sections a school article needs, but if it is possible to expand Curriculum all the better. Also, the introduction might need to be a bit longer for a long article such as this. The article contains plenty of pictures, but if more can be added in sections lower down the article, then that would be a good addition. I am giving this article Mid importance for the schools reputation and alumni. Camaron | Chris (talk) 14:57, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Mahidol Wittayanusorn School (B / Mid) Requested. A reasonably good article, but some further work is needed. The first thing that can be noticed is references - there are very few for an article this size. Try and add more especially for completely unreferenced sections such as history, you can use the school website, but it is a primary source, and secondary sources are better for an encyclopaedic entry. It would help the look of the article if more pictures were added, some of the campus would be fantastic. The article currently covers a lot but there is room for expansion, some information on alumni in particular is needed. The other issue is the school song. There has been a lot of debate and controversy over including the school song in an article. First, is including it a copyright infringement? If it is not in the public domain or under the GNU Free Documentation License it should be removed. Second, consensus is that school songs should not generally be included in Wikipedia anyway. If copyright issues are resolved, the text itself should be moved to Wikisource - go to the bottom of La Martiniere Calcutta and it is possible to find a good example on how it can be done. I am giving the article Mid importance as the school has some notable uniqueness, however more to show this would be good. Camaron | Chris (talk) 15:50, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Gordon Parks High School (B / Low) Requested. For a history of just 2 edits, this is a very impressive article. Well structured, referenced, and some pictures as well. For improvement, a longer introduction might be good, as well as the inclusion of the school logo within the infobox. Some further expansion might also be possible - create an alumni section if you find more alumni for example. Camaron | Chris (talk) 16:15, 17 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Burnsview Secondary School (Start / Low) Requested. Barely enough for a start but plenty of references to get the article going. Needs a lot more. Adam McCormick (talk) 03:27, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Canterbury Boys' High School (Start / Mid) Requested. Vast improvement, still needs a little polishing and expansion for a B, but close. Adam McCormick (talk) 03:32, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Piedmont High School (California) (B / Mid) Well structured and has a good collection of references and pictures. I am assessing it as Mid importance for well known academics, alumni, and nationally recognised contest. Camaron | Chris (talk) 12:50, 21 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Highlands Elementary School (Dab / NA) is a disambiguation page. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 22:33, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Cranberry Elementary School (Dab / NA) is a school related disambiguation page. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 22:47, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
  • Charlotte High School (Charlotte, Michigan) (Stub / Low) is a very short article with very little details. It deserves no more than a Stub / Low rating at this time. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 19:12, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
  • CHS (high schools) (DAB / NA) is a school related dismbiguation page. GO-PCHS-NJROTC (talk) 00:56, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] March 2008

  • Bret Harte Middle School (San Jose, California) (Start / Low) has not that much info, but has some basic information LegoKontribsTalkM 04:02, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Central High School (Burlington, Illinois) (Stub / Low) A short article with basic information and no references. Loopla (talk) 05:11, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Central High School (Camp Point, Illinois) (Stub / Low) A very short article with basic info. Loopla (talk) 05:41, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Tiffin School (B / Mid) Requested externally on my talk page. This has become quite a strong article with many sections, pictures, references, and content. I see many of the sources used are primary - to improve try and expand the source pool to include more secondary sources. I would suggest trying to get references for the alumni section and expand the introduction as it is currently a little short for an article of this size. Also I would recommend expanding some sections further down the article such as the Tiffin shop if possible, pictures here would be good too. I am giving this article mid importance for its alumni and history. Camaron | Chris (talk) 20:12, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Butterfield Elementary School (Lake Elsinore, California) (B / Mid) Current collaboration. Most elementary schools are not notable but this article shows quite an exception to this. This is quite a good article and could even meet the Good article criteria with work. My first thoughts when seeing the article were - external links, there are a lot of them, too many. The article should contain a few external links in the external links section, usually the official site and a few other important relevant ones. All other links should be part of in-line citations using <ref></ref> tags, external links within the text should be kept to a minimum, and individual news articles should really only be in in-line citations unless they have particular importance to the article. See Wikipedia:External links for further guidance. The section set-up can also be improved, try and not repeat the article title in section tiles, and if possible create sub-sections to seperate large amounts of text. The introduction is rather short for an article this size, consider expanding it, use Wikipedia:Lead section for guidance. Finally, try and consider moving the logo into the info-box, where it generally should be for school articles. I am giving this article mid importance for the schools quite notable visual and performing arts program, history, and awards. Camaron | Chris (talk) 20:35, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Magnet school (Start / High) Not sure why we hadn't already assessed this... Very important article to the project. Has minimal reference material. Needs authoritative sources and statistics. I would push for some project effor on this and all such "Types of Schools" articles. Adam McCormick (talk) 04:44, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Menntaskólinn í Reykjavík (Start/Top) A very important old school in Iceland founded in 1056 which has educated most of the country's Prime Ministers and is therefore of top importance. The article needs more content, especially about the history of the school, and especially references to advance to a B. Dahliarose (talk) 09:42, 13 March 2008 (UTC)
  • La Salle College (B / Mid) Requested. A well-written article with lots of factual information and very neutral tone. Alumni list, history, and content make this one of the better Hong Kong school articles I've seen. Could still use more references and a stronger lead but otherwise very close to GA. Adam McCormick (talk) 03:49, 14 March 2008 (UTC)
  • Stonyhurst College (B / Mid) Requested. Looks solidly-written and well referenced with plenty of references and pictures. All it needs to be GA is a review request. (Mid may be low, but I need a UK person to confirm) Adam McCormick (talk) 00:44, 19 March 2008 (UTC)
I have upgraded this school to high importance. It's a leading Catholic school with a long history in an important historical building. There aren't many schools which can boast that Oliver Cromwell slept there, and even fewer with saints amongst their alumni, let alone seven Victoria crosses. The school already has three Wikipedia articles in other languages which testifies to its international recognition. Dahliarose (talk)

[edit] April 2008

  • St. Bees School (Start/high) Requested re-assessment. This article is developing well. It should really be a B, but is lacking in references. Trivia needs trimming. I'm upgrading the article to high importance based on its history and the alumni, which include Fletcher Christian and three Victoria Crosses. Dahliarose (talk) 22:51, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Winchester College (B/Top) Upgraded to top importance. It already has Wikipedia articles in seven different languages. It is one of the oldest and best known English schools and a large number of books have been written about it testifying to its importance. It also has a very long list of important alumni and a long list of fictional alumni too! Dahliarose (talk) 22:51, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Morton Memorial Schools (Stub/low) - Needs a lot more content and references and maybe a picture to reach Start class. Bsrboy (talk) 23:00, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
  • St Paul's School (London) (B/high) I'm surprised we haven't already assessed this school. It is one of the original nine 'public' schools in England and one of the highest achieving schools in the country easily justifying high importance. The article is well written but has a lot of subjective claims and a lot of work is now needed on referencing. Dahliarose (talk) 11:02, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
  • Haileybury and Imperial Service College This article has been expanded since it was last assessed and is now a B. The alumni would be best split into a separate article. More content should be added particularly about the curriculum and extra-curricular activities. Most importantly there is a lot of work needed on the referencing. I am upgrading the article to high importance based on the alumni (which include Rudyard Kipling, three George Crosses and seventeen Victoria Crosses – only Eton and Harrow have more VCs) and the history. Dahliarose (talk) 11:02, 9 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] May - June 2008

  • Liberty County High School (Bristol, Florida) (Stub/Low) Requested. Not much here and no external references. Adam McCormick (talk) 19:11, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  • St Helena Secondary College (Start/Low) Requested. Only one reference and that is internal. Needs verifiable information. Adam McCormick (talk) 19:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Arlington Senior High School (GA/Low) Requested. Very solidly written and referenced, might benefit from more pictures. Adam McCormick (talk) 19:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Palo Verde High School (Start/Low) Requested. A good start but still very short. Only one external reference. Needs significant expansion and cleanup. Adam McCormick (talk) 19:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Somerville House (B/Mid) Requested. Overall, a well put-together article. Curriculum section needs work. Adam McCormick (talk) 19:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Shenendehowa Central School District (Start/Low) Two legitimate references and needs more content. Adam McCormick (talk) 19:34, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Los Alamos High School (B/Mid) Plenty of references and pictures. Lists should really be cut down or made into tables. Needs some overall work on readability and organization. Adam McCormick (talk) 19:38, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Trinity Grammar School (New South Wales) (B / High) - I am assessing this article for WikiProject Schools as B / High on a request (apologies that it has taken four months to respond to an assessment request). Quite a good article in terms of length and organisation, and quite well referenced. This could get a good article rating with work. First, the introduction could be expanded as it is a little short for a long article - three long paragraphs will do, it should summarise the entire article. Second, the history section is a good length with pictures but the sourcing could be improved; there are some gaps and only one source is used, getting varitey as much as possible with sourcing is a good thing. Third, the school song. Has the copyright status of this been verified as ok for inclusion? Even if it has past consensus on the issue has been that the school song should be on Wikisource and linked from the article. Any sourced details about the song (history e.t.c.) are fine however. Forth, some sections such as 'House system' have no sources - even if they are primary sources, adding some is still good. Finally, The 'Curriculum' section looks incomplete and short, expansion would be nice there. I am giving this article high importance, up from mid, due to the long history of the school, controversies, and significant alumni. Camaron | Chris (talk) 17:31, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
  • St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School (Start / Low) I am assessing this article as Start / Low for WikiProject Schools after a request. An article of a good length and breadth, but does need some work. The first word which came into my head after reading the introduction was advertising, not encyclopaedic - which is of concern. The article introduction/lead section is supposed to review and summarise the article, not try and promote it. For example - In today’s world, particularly during the adolescent years, it is important for young people to know they are loved and cared for. It is in that Love that they come to see faith as a vitally important and essential part of their lives. St. John the Baptist acknowledges and promotes this philosophy. A nice thing to say, but I would expect to read that in a school leaflet, not an encyclopaedic article. Articles should follow core policy such as WP:NPOV and WP:NOT#ADVERTISING. The next issue is on references, they are difficult to find in the article. There are currently three, more should be added to verify the article fully and they should come from a varitey of locations. The overall content of the article is another issue, WP:WPSCH#GT and WP:SCH#S can provide help on what needs to be included. There are a lot of lists, these should be converted to prose if possible. General trivia of only student interest should also be removed. The table in the top right hand corner should be converted to a proper infobox, see WP:WPSCH to find those avaliable. Finally, it is good to see pictures - but these should be transferred to Wikimedia Commons if possible. Camaron | Chris (talk) 18:11, 6 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Abington Heights School District (Start/Low) — Added the infobox and a bit more data concerning test results and demographics. I could use a general copy edit and cleanup, but could be a solid B-class article if someone were to get around to adding more concise information. One page has some nice tidbits, but nothing too major. — Calebrw (talk) 20:22, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Edison High School (Minnesota)(Start/Low) — Just barely a start-class article. Needs a lot of work. Just the bare bones facts. — Calebrw (talk) 20:29, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Roosevelt High School (Minneapolis)(Stub/Low)— Not much here. No references, save for a link to the school's page. No infobox. — Calebrw (talk) 20:32, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Washburn High School (Start/Low) — My alma mater. Needs a lot of work in the citation and references department. I added the infobox 3 days ago and assessed it then. — Calebrw (talk) 20:36, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Patrick Henry High School (Minneapolis, Minnesota) (Stub/Low) — Not enough info or structure to get to start. One reference though. No infobox. — Calebrw (talk) 21:16, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Southwest High School (Minneapolis, Minnesota) (Start/Low)The article needs a lot of work. Plagiarism, only 2 refs and I'm not sure on the NPOV. Needs some big work. — Calebrw (talk) 21:16, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Minneapolis South High School (Start/Low) — Only proper references really stand in the way of this article becoming B class or better. It also could be split into multiple articles: with one focusing on the history of the school as that has become quite long.
  • New York City Department of Education (Start/Mid) — Needs a lot more references, considering the number of people involved with the district. I'd say it's mid (or even higher) importance seeing as how big it is: Budget US$ 17 billion, Teachers 80,000, Students 1,042,277 and Number of Schools 1,450. — Calebrw (talk) 22:40, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Staten Island Technical High School, moved from Wikipedia:SCH#Articles in need of emergency, short term attention article has no current assessment. – Zedla (talk) 20:16, 1 April 2008 (UTC) Rated as (start/low). It's definatley out of immediate danger, but keep up the good work. — Calebrw (talk) 21:56, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Eagle Rock High School (Los Angeles, California) Article has been around since 2006 and never assessed. Timmccloud (talk) 21:41, 1 April 2008 (UTC) (Start/low) needs more references and could be a b-class article. — Calebrw (talk) 22:01, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • York Catholic High School (York, PA) Article recently de-stubbed, please assess Nsb5004 (talk) 04:05, 2 April 2008 (UTC) (Start/low) is right on the money. Needs more non-primary references. — Calebrw (talk) 22:03, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • West Clermont Local School District, Article has never been assessed Bmstephany (talk) 16:29, 3 April 2008 (UTC)(Start/low) A good opening three paragraphs, but then turns into lists. Needs more non-primary sources. — Calebrw (talk) 22:11, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Indiana Soldiers' and Sailors' Children's Home requesting assessment. Dustitalk to me 19:14, 8 April 2008 (UTC) Agree with (Start/low). Not changed. Needs more references and wikilinks as noted. — Calebrw (talk) 22:15, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Khalil Gibran International Academy (B-class/mid) Well researched and relevant to the the issues facing Muslims (in education and daily life) in America and other countries. — Calebrw (talk) 22:34, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Ben Gamla Charter School (Start/Mid) — Needs infobox. Good coverage of the controversy surrounding the teaching of both Hebrew and religion. Needs better citation style. — Calebrw (talk) 22:52, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Blind Brook High School: Reworked/reformatted the article over the past year. I have also updated and added new citations. If someone can take a look at it, tips/ideas/suggestions/etc are always welcomed. Thanks Benje309 (talk) 19:37, 1 June 2008 (UTC) (B/low) Nice additions. Giving this a B. To get to GA or higher, please use the proper citation templates. Also, when you use one source more than one do a <ref="citationname"> where "citationname" is unique to the page. Also, find a few more non-primary sources if you can. "Blind Brook's Beginnings" and "30 Years of Blind Brook: 1973-2003" need more in-text citations in my opinion. — Calebrw (talk) 04:00, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • The Hotchkiss School, I have made significant changes to the article and updated the alumni list (please reconsider importance ranking Hotchkiss has more billionaires than any other school in the world for business oriented people that is important - top importance?). Please re-read alumni list.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.6.214.82 (talk) (B/High)Please add more in-text citations to this article. This will help with the NPOV concerns. In light of these two issues, I am bumping this article down to High until proved otherwise. — Calebrw (talk) 01:58, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Los Altos High School - Somebody came and gave this article a B-rating without leaving a comment, note, or real assessment. I would also like an importance rating, (though I think I know what it is...) --haha169 (talk) 04:11, 7 June 2008 (UTC) (B-class/low) Really well-rounded article. Deserves a b-class rating. It doesn't apply to more than just the local area, so it gets a low on the importance scale. I marked to sections that need to be updated to at least 2007, if not 2008. You have the makings of a GA article in my opinion. The first paragraph of the history needs some in-text citations as does the part about Wynne Satterwhite and George Perez in the intro. Also, each Notable Alumni should be cited to assist with a GA-status request. I hope this helps you with this article. — Calebrw (talk) 03:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Sunshine Coast Grammar School- Changes have been made since it was last assessed; requesting reassessment --RockerballAustralia (talk) 05:06, 8 June 2008 (UTC) (Start/low) The structure looks good, but almost everything can be expanded upon. The one sentence sections really need that. "Schools of Excellence," "OP Results" (what is OP, is there a link to it on wikipedia?), "Languages," "Sister Schools" and "Music" all need to be expanded. What are the sister schools: the offical web site should list such schools. Hope this helps — Calebrw (talk) 03:19, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Tarek ibn Ziyad Academy (TIZA)
    • Similar schools that are being accused of blurring the line between church and state. I'm guessing Mid importance at least. I'm planning to nominate TIZA for a DYK soon. ~ Eóin (talk) 21:17, 12 April 2008 (UTC
Clearly a B-class article of Mid-importance as it adds to the issues facing Muslims in America. (See Khalil Gibran International Academy above for more on the same issue) — Calebrw (talk) 22:58, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Chamberlayne Park School has been improved greatly over the last year, in particular there are now many references -- Flutefluteflute Talk Contributions 07:36, 14 April 2008 (UTC) (B-Class/Low) Great structure with just enough references to be a B-class in my book. Low importance as I see nothing that applies to more than this school. — Calebrw (talk) 23:02, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Westminster Christian Academy (Missouri) -- please assess and comment on page and what can be improved. No Change. Still B-class. The in-text citations need to be in the proper format. See {{cite web}} at Template:Cite web. That's what I see off-hand. Also, please remove the ref tag from the headmasters section. Looks bad. — Calebrw (talk) 23:28, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Abelardo Saavedra (Start/low) Mr. Saavedra's article was updated with a bit betting writing and an addition to his time in Corpus Christi. I think there is more out there, especially for the head of such a major school district, but we will see what the future brings. — Calebrw (talk) 19:10, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Mars Hill Bible School (Start/low) Without getting into the NPOV aspects discussed above, I will address the rest of the article. First off, the citation style is solid, and the number of in-text citations is about right. You could add a few more as appropriate. The one that brings this article down, and must be corrected is the overuse of lists. "Academics," "Athletics," "Administration" and "Trivia" are just lists and should be in prose. Fixing this will go a long way to making this article better. — Calebrw (talk) 19:23, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Stanton College Preparatory School (Start/low) This had the makings of a good article (not to be confused with be assessed as such at this time). The introduction is great with a good deal of sources. The history section is well-written, but not sourced well. Please add in-citations to this section. The Fight Song and Alma Mater sections are not sourced at the very least and not all that encyclopedic at the most. The alumni section is not sources and frankly, the TV show contestants aren't really all that significant to the school, unless they are honored on a regular basis by members of the community. Also, please use proper citation form for your references. (WP:CIT) — Calebrw (talk) 19:57, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Humboldt Senior High School (Start/mid) The article is not a stub, as it was previously assessed. Great use of sources, nearly all are third-party. The article is well written, but not quite complete enough to earn B-class status. I rate this article as Mid on the importance scale because of the fact that it deals with the Native American mascot issue, though maybe more could be said on that if there are sources to do so. — Calebrw (talk) 20:39, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Shawnigan Lake School Originally was just going to clean up the references and assess as B-class, but upon review of the article's section source: http://www.bcarchives.gov.bc.ca/cgi-bin/text2html/finding/government/.ms_finding//MS-1485.txt, I found that the entire history section of this article is a near word-for-word copy of that that document. This is clear plagiarism and needs to be rectified soon. I will be removing the section for now. My assessment of the article is (Start/low).
    • I have done some work on the citations. — Calebrw (talk) 22:22, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Windham High School (Windham, Ohio) I have assessed this article as (Start/low). Good work on the "Tomahawk Conference" so far, but it still needs some more sources. If you want to get this to attain B-class status you are going to have to do a lot of work on the rest of the article. — Calebrw (talk) 22:16, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Jasper Place Composite High School (Start/low) Clearly more than a stub. Work on the citations and fill out the sections. — Calebrw (talk) 22:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • North High School (North St. Paul, Minnesota) (Stub/low) Fix the lists. Expand all sections. More citations. No all-caps. — Calebrw (talk) 22:55, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Perpich Center for Arts Education (Start/low) No citations. Small sections. Needs a lot of work. — Calebrw (talk) 23:04, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Rochester Lourdes High School (Start/low) Needs many more citations for B-class. Needs copy editing. On the right track. — Calebrw (talk) 23:10, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Roseville High School (Start/low) Needs a lot of work. Expand every section. References are needed. — Calebrw (talk) 23:15, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Rosemount High School (Start/low) Relies on lists. Marching band section needs addition, especially given recent success. Citations needed. Lots of work needs to be done to get to B-class. — Calebrw (talk) 23:22, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Bloomington Jefferson High School (Start/low) Needs some work, especially to bring it up to date. Citations need to added and those that exist need to be put in the proper format. Alumni need citations, though all look source-able and famous. — Calebrw (talk) 23:30, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Burnsville High School (Start/low) Needs additional citations and to be expanded to include the normal parts of a school article. — Calebrw (talk) 23:36, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Chaska High School (comment)(Start/low) Needs more citations and need to updated to include all sections as needed by a good schools article. — Calebrw (talk) 00:07, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
  • Eastview High School (Start/low) Lot's of lists. No references. — Calebrw (talk) 14:00, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
    • Cleaned it up a little. Still needs proper references.
  • Eden Prairie High School (Start/low) Good beginning, but needs more sources and prose (changing the lists into text) as well as expansion of the curriculum section. — Calebrw (talk) 15:07, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

An alphabetical list of those of us who assess articles for the project (For individual contributions see above):

[edit] Apprentices

Assessors who are new to assessing school articles; anyone can add themselves to this list if they wish to assess school articles. These users should summarise all their assessments in the assessment summaries section to allow feedback to be given easily.

[edit] Experienced

Assessors who are experienced on assessing school articles; users should only be added to this list if there is consensus in the assessment team that they have the experience necessary. These users do not need to summarise their assessments in the assessment summaries section unless it involves granting an article a quality status higher than Start, or an importance status higher than Mid. However, any assessment made by this group of assessors can still be contested or queried by any user.
