WNTR is a commercial radio station located in Indianapolis, Indiana, broadcasting on 107.9 FM. WNTR airs an adult hits music format branded as "The Track".

[edit] History

WNTR signed on August 13, 1984, under the call letters of WTPI. The station had taken over the frequency of the original WIFE-FM (now WISH-FM) when the original WIFE stations were closed by the FCC. At its start, WTPI was called "the top of Indianapolis," due to its location on the Indianapolis FM dial.

On October 3, 2005, WTPI dropped the adult contemporary music format in favor of adult hits along with a change to its current call letters of WNTR.
