Ultimate Fight Night 5 was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on June 28, 2006. The event took place at Hard Rock Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas, Nevada and was broadcast live on Spike TV in the United States and Canada. The show drew a 1.4 overall rating[2] and served as the lead-in for the premiere of Blade: The Series. The disclosed fighter payroll for the event was $197,000.

Santiago defeats Levens by knockout at 2:13 of Round 1. This bout was not aired on the broadcast.
MacDonald, The Ultimate Fighter 2 alum, defeated Rothaermel by submission (armbar) by at 4:01 of Round 1. The bout, although preliminary, was aired on the broadcast.
Fitch defeats Alves by technical knockout (referee stoppage due to strikes) at 4:37 of Round 2. This bout was not aired on the broadcast.
Lambert defeats Hinkle by technical knockout at 5:00 of Round 1. The fight was called before the start of round two due to an accumulation of strikes. This bout was not aired on the broadcast.

In one of the upsets of the night, The Ultimate Fighter 2 Heavyweight champion Rashad Evans defeats Stephan Bonnar by majority decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-29).
Goulet defeats Cummo by majority decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-29). This bout was a swing bout, and was held after the main event.
Silva defeats Leben by knockout at :49 of Round 1. According to a poll conducted by UFC.com, Silva was the underdog coming into the fight. Before this fight, Leben had never been knocked out in his career as a mixed martial artist.
