MTV France, the French speaking branch of MTV. The channel serves the Francophone world including Belgium (French speaking areas), Switzerland (French speaking areas), Monaco and Africa (French speaking areas), Morocco on cable and Lebanon. It was officially launched in 2000, it was set up to combat competition from MCM. The channel provides a number of French programming such as MTV News, MTV Scan, Hitlist France, En Mode,Hot Link and many others. MTV's International shows include Pimp My Ride, Dismissed, The Real World (all in French subtitles). It also hosts a French edition of MTV Overdrive at mtv.fr/overdrive.
