Nickelodeon in India began broadcasting in 2001 and has had ups and downs in its popularity. The lifespan (still running) of the network can be divided into three phases:2001-2003,2004-2007,2008-Present. When the channel initially started, it was available in english and soon moved on to only hindi shows, which was a flop and the channel lost popularity and was losing against Disney Channel India. The channel's lifespan is as follows:
