[edit] Notability dispute of Zombie Panic! Source

It looks like you added a notability dispute on the Zombie Panic! Source entry.

I added links to other third party websites that talk about the game and gameplay, would that suffice to keep the page as active? I see several other modifications of similar notability on Wikipedia, and the mod is in fact released, downloadable software and is referenced on other websites with over 30,000 downloads so far from one mirror alone. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Frikazoyd (talkcontribs) 20:30, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

If you could talk to me via email, I think I have a couple of examples of notability coming up very soon. -frikazoyd (talk)

[edit] Deletion of "Path of Obliteration" article

Just wondering what reasons you had to, first of all delete "Path of Obliteration" article, then right after that, delete my argument on the nomination for deletion of the article on "Path of Obliteration". —Preceding unsigned comment added by VendettaFan91 (talkcontribs) 08:15, 3 January 2008 (UTC) Thank you for the suggestion, I am very new to Wikipedia editing.--VendettaFan91 (talk) 08:23, 3 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Star Wreck

Hi, on 5 July 2007 you removed 'C64' from the list of platforms for Star Wreck (game). I was wondering if any of the results here could be used as references? Mikesc86 21:59, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

I think the only one I would trust there is gamebase64; the others only seem to have sketchy information. Odd that it isn't on Lemon64, which is what I normally use. Marasmusine 07:31, 2 November 2007 (UTC)

Marasmusine, I just read your proposal for the aerodyne article. I don't think it should be merged with aircraft or lifting body. Please review my recommendations. If my approach violates the normal conventions for editors of Wikipedia please forgive me as today is the first time I even considered making any input. I do not know what the "star wreck" code in the summary window means so I will leave it. KeB, Waafcdr 07:04, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion

Hello! I noticed that you deleted the article Ant Wars based on WP:A7#A7. However, the article is more than just the web content of the mentioned page, it is an explaination of the 2004 ICFP Programming Contest. I would be more comfortable with the deletion had it been nominated on wp:afd. Could you please restore it and nominate it instead? --Bensin (talk) 17:12, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

I took "browser-based game" to be "online content", and I didn't consider being a spin-off of a programming contest to be an assertion of importance. However, since you asked nicely, I will restore and take to AfD. Marasmusine (talk) 17:20, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Fishy Deliantra claims

Hello,

I stumbled by chance on the Deliantra article and its associated talk page. It seems that the original page author provided you somewhat inaccurate informations.

- Deliantra's project start date: The original author provided you 1992 as the start date for Deliantra. This is incorrect. 1992 was the start date of Crossfire, the RPG on which the Deliantra's code is based on. The real start date for Deliantra (called Crossfire+ at first) can be traced back to early 2006, when its founder decided to create and maintain his own fork of the Crossfire project;

- Deliantra's derivatives: The original author's assumption that Deliantra inspired various other games is thus somewhat fact-stretching. The cited games (Wyvern, Daimonin, Graal Online) all borrowed from the original Crossfire material long before the Deliantra project was even planned;

- Deliantra's development progress: The following statement made by the original author: "The game actually was created in 1992 and well predates ultima online. Only work on it has started again in 2006." is incorrect and probably misleading. The work on Crossfire was continuous since 1992 to the present day, as its mailing list archives demonstrate; the work on what was to become Deliantra didn't start before 2006. So it has definitely not "started again in 2006", since it is the date at which it was forked from its ancestor.

In summary: although Deliantra can legitimately claim to be based on a game that is 15 years old and has been used as the workbasis of a couple other projects, I doubt it can use the notability of its "ancestor" for its own in an attempt to preserve its page from deletion.

I'd suggest you to review the informations provided by the original author with care, as this quite looks like a rather weak attempt to fool you, protecting an article which would have otherwise risked deletion.

Yours. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.136.38.156 (talk) 17:42, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Right, if the "historical interest" claim is dubious, the best thing to do is take it to a discussion for deletion, since it also fails one of our other guidelines. If you'd like to comment you can do so here: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deliantra (computer game), but please take a quick look at WP:N too. Thanks for raising this issue, Marasmusine 18:50, 3 December 2007 (UTC)
Thse comments are, however, not really correct - the original name was Crossfire, not Crossfire+ (as I explaiend elsewhere, the renaming was done to avoid confusion). Also, since none of the original developers is left in either derivative, it is not correct to claim one branch is the real one and all the others are not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.139.53.102 (talk) 14:24, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
Point taken, but I'll still ask you to review WP:N. Marasmusine (talk) 20:55, 5 December 2007 (UTC)
It is true that the "root" coder, the one that created Crossfire in the first place (Frank Tore Johansen) doesn't work on it anymore since 1994. However, there has been no continuity break when he left, as all the others contributors still continued to work on the game. The project lead was taken by Mark Wedel, which was already one of the most important contributors at that point, and whose participation can reliably be traced back as far as July, 1993 (see for exemple http://archives.real-time.com/rte-crossfire/1993/Jul/msg00001.html), which predates by far any of the Deliantra dev's participation. Given that Wedel still was the administrator when what was to become Deliantra split, and given that neither he nor the majority of developers back then followed it, there is little question about which one can be considered the "mainstream" base, and which one cannot. Even the Deliantra's founder acknowledged this in the early versions of the game's home page by describing it as such (See http://web.archive.org/web/20060523003748/http://cf.schmorp.de/ for example): Crossfire+ is an offspring of the original Crossfire project, with which it still has a lot in common(...). Note that the author was not using "original Crossfire" to describe the code left in 1994 by F.T.Johansen, but the "2006" version of the game, as he then describes the similarities between his project and the "original", speaking about in-game content and the network protocol, both elements not being present in the 1994 code, but very well in the 2006 one. Given that both the Crossfire+/Deliantra's founder and the Crossfire developers claim that the project nowadays bearing the name of "Crossfire" is the original, and Deliantra is one of its offspring, I hardly see how an external observer could claim the contrary. 80.201.137.68 (talk) 18:09, 6 December 2007 (UTC)
Thankyou for your comments. At this point, it's important to only have in the article what can be verified using reliable, independent sources (see WP:V). If there aren't any (which appears to be the case, but I'll be happy if some turn up) then we shouldn't have an article on it. Marasmusine (talk) 19:08, 6 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Redirect of Evolution computer and video game

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Evolution computer and video game, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Evolution computer and video game is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Evolution computer and video game, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. [edit] Entry rules question

We noticed that a lot of companies have entries in wiki (IBM, HP, etc), and also that there are many product entries (Rational Test, QTP, etc). When our CTO tried to create an entry for our company, and products, he was told it was not allowed. He probably used some inappropriate language - too much like marketing rather than just a statement of useful facts - but we don't know. Can you clarify what he needs to do to get the same opportunity to create wiki entries as other companies ?

[edit] Grey School

I was not aware of the deletion of a previous article with this name, so I was rather shocked that mine was deleted within minutes of it's creation. I intended to expand it and support it's notability with references, but now I don't even have a copy of the text I wrote, and I don't know where to find a record of the original one and the reasons it was deleted. I am neither affiliated with the school nor with the Church of All Worlds, but I know the Grey School is real and I believe it deserves an article, even if the one you saw might not be up to scratch. I would like to do a better one, and have the opportunity to actually READ people's specific criticisms and ADDRESS them. Could you help me?Rosencomet (talk) 21:16, 17 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding deletion of pyglet

Hi, can you/we either consider deletion of pygame, Soya 3D & PyOgre or can we discuss how you would like an article on pyglet to be presented?. I would have preferred to have had the previous article improve through incremental change. Thanks --Grimboy (talk) 15:25, 26 December 2007 (UTC)

None of those articles assert any kind of notability; in particular PyOgre which is not neutral in tone, so yes I would consider them for deletion.
As for pyglet and how it should be presented, I would a) start with citations from independent, reliable, non-trivial coverage (a magazine review or somesuch) and b) to avoid speedy deletion under critiria G11, write it from a neutral point of view which would mean c) not being directly associated with software myself (per WP:COI). [edit] List of casual video games

I note that you PRODded List of casual video games, partly because some inclusions were suspect e.g. Robotron. The page history showed that the latter had been recently added by an anon editor. Apart from that the page might have some value; redlinks in a list may be a useful prompt to create missing articles. Please notify the creator or significant editor of pages when proposing deletion, if you have time; it's very easy to cut and paste the line from the bottom of the PROD box, and doesn't even need you to type a heading because that template inserts one itself. - Fayenatic (talk) 23:13, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Queen of babble

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Queen of babble, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of Queen of babble. [edit] Your 'proposed deletion' nomination of Genki Dama

Just a quick note to let you know that I've removed your prod from Genki Dama. The reason for this is that, as you admit in your prod reason, the deletion would be controversial. The prospect of controversy automatically excludes a deletion from the prod process (read the first sentence: 'Proposed deletion is the way to suggest that an article is uncontroversially a deletion candidate...' [my emphasis]). If you still think that the article should be deleted, you should nominate it at AFD. Regards. Cynical (talk) 15:24, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Astonia, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] RfD nomination of I am an air traffic controller video game

I have nominated I am an air traffic controller video game (edit|talk|history|links|watch|logs) for discussion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at the discussion page. Thank you. Floaterfluss (talk) (contribs) 18:17, 7 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] B-3 Long Range Srike Bomber

Just so you know, me being the creator of the page, the agreement between me and the person who nominated for deletion was pretty much unanimous, from what I gathered, that the page be merged with the 2018 Bomber page. The discussion technically closed 2 days ago so we were pretty much delaying any further action. I can see your reasoning but i'm telling you just in case you didn't read the discussion board. Kevin Rutherford (talk) 02:58, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

That's okay - I would just wait until the discussion is officially closed with an admin's decision. Marasmusine (talk) 19:51, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Crack Attack! notability

Hi Marasmusine,

I see you tagged the Crack Attack! article on notability and lack of third party references. I have added a third party review of the game. I have also noted that it is included in all major Linux distributions. It has been around for many years, and I don't see how the article could possibly fail an AfD challenge. Please let me know whether we need more citations, and of what kind.

Thanks, Slashme (talk) 08:12, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

I had a look for items with editorial oversight, and the best I could come up with was a netBSD package description and an article on Open for Business article which describes it as an addictive game. --Slashme (talk) 11:28, 9 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Can you give me a hand with sourcing?

You tagged 1000 Blank White Cards as not demonstrating enough notability. Now, as there currently is a significant tendency to take notability tags as proof of absence rather than an absence of proof, and six people just voted "speedy delete" in an AfD where the second line of the nomination explained why that was inapplicable, you can see why I'd prefer to have this matter resolved quickly.

Now, I researched the matter some months ago and left a note on the article's talk page about what I found. 1KBWC is covered in what I believe is the August 2002 issue of Games (magazine), and in Hoyle's Rules of Games (Third Revised and Updated Edition). Since I live on the wrong side of the planet for getting my hands on these sources, could you look for them? --18:53, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm in the wrong country for that magazine too. How did you come across the information in the first place? Whilst I have no plans on taking the article to AfD, the maintainance tags should remain until the article can be properly cited. The video games wikiproject maintains a list of magazines owned accessable by its members, perhaps Wikipedia:WikiProject Board and table games has something similar. Marasmusine (talk) 21:13, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm pretty good at finding stuff. For another thing, it's entirely possible to find snippets, comments, context and the like about a text without uncovering a referenceable copy. I changed the tag to refimprove, still being somewhat nervous about notability tags - the sources are mentioned in the article, they just need to be integrated better - and bugged a States-based member of the board & table game project into trying to check the print sources. With any luck the matter should be resolved shortly, in a manner that all parties can agree to be for the improvement of Wikipedia. (Isn't it neat when that happens?) Thanks for your cooperation. --Kizor 21:30, 12 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Deletion of MeeMix artical

Hi Marasmusine, I have just rewritten an article about MeeMix after getting some input from Secret. This is my first artical so I am on a learning curve. You have deleted the article based on (CSD A7 (Web): Article about a web site that does not assert significance). This version had no site description and was focused on definition of scientific activity that has assert significance and history. Please let me know what in your opinion am I doing wrong. Thanks, Meron

[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Quintura.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:Quintura.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 04:47, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Stupid Ninja Game

Just a friendly heads up on Stupid Ninja Game. I felt compelled to remove the prod because the article has been through an AfD with a result of "keep". I'm not convinced of the notability, but I think the AfD removes this from an "uncontroversial deletion". Feel free to reopen the AfD if you are so inclined. --Fabrictramp (talk) 21:09, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Ah, thanks, didn't spot that. I think I might renominate it. Marasmusine (talk) 21:13, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Chaos source, retro gamer

Are you still looking for that source? I know it's months later. After thinking to myself "I should really subscribe to that mag" I went to the site and noticed that you can buy issues 1-30 on disk for £20, which is a considerable improvement over £5 per issue. As a total source whore it's something I'd want anyway, but if it could be put to work immediately then all the better. Let me know. Someoneanother 17:38, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Ah, thanks, but I managed to get a copy of that issue! I've given up on trying to correctly reference the Total Chaos article now anyways. Thanks for the info. Marasmusine (talk) 17:46, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] external links

Thank you for your comments on my talk page! About easyretro.com, you can have a look on the legal status of each game on the right side of the play page and they have written agreements between them and the game owners. And about thelegacy.de you are right I will be looking for better links for the articles on monday. Have a nice weekend.

[edit] peer review

I was wondering if you could take some time out of your schedule to head over to the Heroes (TV series) talkpage and give us an honest peer review. The page has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give us at the Heroes Wikiproject some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. We have all worked very hard at improving the page, and we need great outside, reliable and trustworthy users to come over and help us improve. I you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! [edit] Article was deleted faster than i could save it...

Hello Marasmusine, i apologize if i did anything wrong. You deleted my article about IP Masters saying that it is not significant. I wonder, since its an educational game, used and admired by thousands of university and MBA students worldwide. Its kind of a flight simulator for corporate management and also unique in his kind. The simulation engine can handle serveral hundered virtual companies in real time and can be considered as the most advanced technology in this field. Why not letting the Wiki users know about it?

Kind regards —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xavier Miranda (talkcontribs) 09:06, 5 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] My article.

I'm having a hard time as to seeing why my article was deleted faster than I could refresh my browser. I wasn't even finished with it. It said it lacked notability. I can understand that, had I not just finished my initial edit. I tend to save things quite frequently (force of habit) and I went ahead and posted it with the intent of going back and editing it immediately, as so I wouldn't lose it in the event of my computer crashing, which it does often. If this is the process in which all articles are handled, I won't waste my time writing anything else.Mommyslittlemonster (talk) 08:52, 9 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Five Pillars (MMORPG)

I wonder why my article was deleted, and articles of other and much less noticeable and histically insignificant games are allowed to stay. See for example: Battrick NukeZone Hattrick and every other game at List_of_multiplayer_browser_games. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Olav Bringedal (talkcontribs) 14:18, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] The Five Pillars (MMORPG)

I find it strange that similar pages has been allowed for years, and that every reference to this is deletes promptly.

from the page you refer to: Steps to list a new deletion review Before listing a review request, attempt to discuss the matter with the admin who deleted the page (or otherwise made the decision). There could have been a mistake, miscommunication, or misunderstanding, and a full review may not be needed. Such discussion also gives the admin the opportunity to clarify the reasoning behind a decision.

Also it is strange that the following exits when not being open for other than the "selected few"

This should be added to all games that fall under the category of a massively multiplayer online real-time strategy game.

I really hope you will reconsider.

Olav Bringedal (talk) 14:46, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Will reply on your talk page. Marasmusine (talk) 14:59, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

Thank you for a readable reply. To see what I mean, just see the links in List_of_multiplayer_browser_games. To you information this game is one of the pioneers on web based gaming aling with Archmage (also gets speedy deletion), Utopia (is listed). There is also a wikipedia project/namespace that is about mmorpgs listed in my previous post.

Olav Bringedal (talk) 17:18, 12 February 2008 (UTC)

AFAIK, all the articles in that list assert some significance, even if it's just a link to some media coverage. Marasmusine (talk) 19:38, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok thanks for prompt answer. I will add citactions and references, and repost then. Sorry about the nagging, but it's a bit hard to get a grip on the wikipedia way of working :) Olav Bringedal (talk) 09:04, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Regarding Babel Sword article

I'm still in the process of working on it, and gathering citable information. The main problem seems to be the sites that aren't blogs that cover it are primarily Japanese or in a similar boat, so I'm trying to get them translated and see what can be used. The fact Mugen stuff still gets stuck with an image of mindless brawling doesn't help either in terms of referencable american sites. But I am working to make the article good...or at least B class. >.>' --Kung Fu Man (talk) 00:19, 15 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Requesting semi-protection for Dominic Deegan: Oracle for Hire

This article (it's about a webcomic) has recently been under a barrage of vandalism. Until recently, it was all from one specific IP address, 81.245.178.131. However, a second IP, /122.106.53.1, has also gotten in on it. Now I don't know why this is, but the author has a number of people with an intense hatred for him, and the article's always been a popular target for anonymous vandalism, but 81.245 seems to have a special vendetta against it.

So I figured semi-protection would be the best deal for the article, but you're the admin and would know better than me. Anyway I wanted to bring it to your attention. McJeff (talk) 05:15, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

I'll put the article on my watchlist; I won't semi-protect right now as there are some anonymous editors who appear to be making good-faith edits too, but will see how it goes. Thanks, Marasmusine (talk) 08:44, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] about the fucking notability bullshit

are you fucking blind? you cannot judge it yourself? and you're an admin ffs!

Basically, I'm going to ignore you until you a) stop being rude; b) Tell me what article you are talking about. Marasmusine (talk) 19:37, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

you know which article i'm talking about[4]. plus, Don't be a dick —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.218.166.119 (talk) 19:43, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

No, anonymous user, I didn't know what article you were talking about, as you didn't tell me what article you were talking about. So, something to do with a Tetris clone then? Is this the one that quite clearly doesn't pass Wikipedia's WP:Notability guidelines? Plus, Wikipedia:No personal attacks. And you're still being rude. Marasmusine (talk) 19:49, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

being annoying makes ppl angry, not rude. now you know which one. i read all of it. it can be added. 88.218.166.119 (talk) 19:59, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

Glad to hear it, can you show me where the game has received "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject" and perhaps we can add it to the list. Marasmusine (talk) 20:02, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

the sources are reliable. independent of the subject? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.218.166.119 (talk) 20:16, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

("Independent of the subject" excludes works produced by those affiliated with the subject including (but not limited to): self-publicity, advertising, self-published material by the subject, autobiographies, press releases, etc.) there are articles that have text from those. 88.218.166.119 (talk) 20:20, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

so? 88.218.166.119 (talk) 20:48, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

I've had to backtrack to work out which reference you mean. Do you mean Retro remakes? It's not significant coverage (See Wikipedia:Notability#_note-2; coverage needs to be more than a few sentences, as I've already mentioned.) Marasmusine (talk) 08:31, 24 February 2008 (UTC)

(are all examples of information that may not be evidence of notability for the purposes of article creation, despite their existence as reliable sources.) those are. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.218.166.119 (talk) 20:51, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

What are? The retro remakes reference? It's difficult to know what you are talking about. To clarify: the examples I wikilinked to show a 360 page book (non-trivial; can be used) and a one-sentence mention (trivial; cannot be used.) The retroremakes reference is a two-sentence mention - it is trivial coverage. Marasmusine (talk) 22:06, 25 February 2008 (UTC)

i gave you everything you need and you can see it for yourself. the easter egg of μtorrent is trivial but it was included. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.218.166.119 (talk) 13:40, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, you've lost me. You've given me something? Where? Easter egg? I give in. Marasmusine (talk) 13:54, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

read this here.

Okay, it's a small section about the μtorrent Tetris easter egg. That makes at least one of your above comments make more sense. Instead of the strange, long, discussion above, perhaps you could have said something like "There is a Tetris game Easter Egg in the μtorrent software; although unnotable, perhaps it could be mentioned on the List of Tetris variants?" Marasmusine (talk) 15:17, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

so? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.218.166.248 (talk) 17:45, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/All Star Cashville Prince

I'm confused about the speedy delete of this article...the copyvio was the one-day abuse of one editor, and I don't know what was meant by the NYTimes was "too good" of a source? I know squat about rap, but a well-known hit, a NYT feature and a record deal with a major label seem to establish notability. Flowanda | Talk 20:31, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

I won't request a deletion review because it's just a matter of time before the article is reincarnated; my request that if the above points establish notability, that the article be restored to the point before the copyvio edits...the edits went back a lot further than this one editor's contributions, and I think the edit history is helpful in tracking and detecting differences between good faith editors and label minions/sockpuppets. Thanks. Flowanda | Talk 00:01, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
