My laptop has decided that it hates me and so, though I can continue editing, I will not be active on IRC for the time being.

Greetings. I am, as of 10 April, 2007, an administrator, (verify) so feel free to contact me if I can help you with anything. I was a regular editor for a reasonable amount of time before that, signing up on 10 March 2006. I delve in and out of things- I write a little, I do a fair bit of new page patrol, spend a lot of time with candidates for speedy deletion (including images), maintain a fairly large watchlist, join in discussions- you can find me all over the place. The subjects I write about are similar- I bounce around Dungeons & Dragons, heavy metal music, other genres of music, my local area and whatever I'm interested in at that time. I get bored if I write about the same kind of thing too much. Leave me a message if you like, I sign in daily unless something major stands in my way. I'm also reachable by email or on IRC.
I have an account on Commons (see userpage) which I don't use much, and I have recently started using the English Wiktionary, (see userpage) which I may end up becoming active on.

Projects and sandboxes
I am a member of the following projects-
- WikiProject Metal
- WikiProject Black Metal
- WikiProject Dungeons & Dragons
- WikiProject Albums, which I am not active in; I am just a member because I write articles about albums.
I was a member of these projects, before they became in-active-
- Spotlight
- WikiProject Trivium, despite hating the band.

Real life
In case you're wondering, I do edit under my real name. In the real world, I have just finished exams for AS levels in religious studies, government and politics, English language and 16th century history, at Barrow Sixth Form College, and have a part-time job at Waterstone’s. I am from Ireleth, in Cumbria, England, and have done my share of travelling. I am currently 17, my date of birth being 25 October, 1990. I enjoy playing pen and paper RPGs and listening to music. Religiously, I'm strongly atheist, although maybe a worshipper of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. Politically, I don't want to label myself, but I am certainly a strong believer social freedoms and a moderate believer in economic freedoms. If I had a vote, I would probably give it to the Liberal Democrats, as they the party I find myself closest too in my quiet little Labour safe-seat. I'm not really affiliated with any other organisations or websites worth mentioning.
IRC
I should be online the Wikipedia IRC channels whenever I'm editing, and sometimes when I'm not. I don't leave my laptop on when I'm not about, so if I am signed on, I am probably present. However, my connection flickers a lot, so please don't be offended if I sign off mid-conversation. The following channels are the ones I will usually be on-
- #wikipedia-en (Most appropriate place to contact me.)
- #wikipedia-en-admins
- #wikimedia-tech
- #wikimedia-npw
- #wikipedia
- #wikipedia-en-help
- #wikimedia-otrs
- (#wikipedia-spotlight, which is dead, sadly)
- (#wiktionary, which is inappropriate for Wikipedia related discussion)
- (#wiktionary-gfdl, ditto)
Best articles
These are my 'best' articles, so defined because they have been through a good article nomination, been a featured article candidate or appeared on the Main Page. They are arranged in chronological order.
Askam and Ireleth (Mostly myself and Kijog, although there was a fair article there to start with.)
Lady in the Lake trial (Almost entirely my own work, completely rewritten.)
Voltaire (musician) - I nominated for good article before it was ready, and it has now been delisted. (Mostly me, contributions by others, and a reasonable article to start with.)
Desolate North (Almost entirely my own work, I created the article.)
Celestiial (Almost entirely my own work, I recreated the article.)
Dungeons & Dragons (album) (Almost entirely my own work, I created the article.)
Chrome Division (Almost entirely my own work, completely rewritten.)
Connie Talbot (Almost entirely my own work, completely rewritten.)
Devourment (Almost entirely my own work, completely rewritten.)
Libris Mortis (Almost entirely my own work, completely rewritten.)
Mama Quilla (Almost entirely my own work, completely rewritten, but did steal a reference from an older version.)
Over the Rainbow (Connie Talbot album) (Almost entirely my own work, completely rewritten.)
William H. Mumler (Almost entirely my own work, I created the article.)
Naer Mataron (Almost entirely my own work, I created the article.)

Even though I haven't seen you nominate any articles to AfD, I notice you nominate a lot of articles for speedy deletion and proposed deletion. I know from personal experience that that by itself sometimes creates conflict. For your boldness, I give you this barnstar. Kannie | talk 19:30, 13 January 2008 (UTC) |
