ESPN Radio Station Listing
Market Branding Special Local Programming Notes
Albany, New York ESPN Radio 1300 The Team Moved to 104.5 FM in late 2006
Baton Rouge, Louisiana The Score 1210 Lost the broadcast rights in Baton Rouge to the now ESPN 1300 in February 2007.
Detroit, Michigan WDFN and WXYT Since the year 2000, ESPN Radio bounced between the two competing Detroit sports stations. In August 2007, ESPN attempted (without success) to break their contract with WDFN to move back to WXYT. Despite still having a current contract with WDFN, ESPN Radio began broadcasting on WXYT anyway, with both stations carrying ESPN Radio content simultaneously. In October 2007 when WXYT merged with sister station WKRK, they dropped ESPN Radio in lieu of Sporting News Radio. WDFN then immediately granted ESPN's request to break their contract, leaving Detroit without an ESPN Radio affiliate.
Hartford, Connecticut News-Sports 910 CNN WNEZ AM 910 carried The Fabulous Sports Babe until December 1996 when the station was sold and went Spanish and later Urban Contemporary. The station is now Spanish Tropical Mega 910 WLAT. ESPN Radio has been on WPOP since 1998 when that station dumped the One on One Sports network.
Houston, Texas 790 The Sports Animal Moved to 97.5 in January 2007

WWWE/WTAM
(1995-1998)
WKNR
(1998-2006)
WWGK (primary)
(2006-2007)
WKNR was the first affiliate in Cleveland and carried weekend programming until WWWE (which changed callsigns to WTAM) picked it up in 1995. WTAM then moved the affiliation to WKNR in 1998 (when both stations were under common ownership); WKNR carried ESPN Radio until its cancellation by the network in July 2006 which was effective that October. WWGK's new ownership then purchased WKNR in December 2006, and moved it back to WKNR in March 2007, but WWGK airs ESPN programming and play-by-play that WKNR is unable to air due to other commitments.
Washington, D.C. SportsTalk 980 Defunct since July 2006, moved to Triple X ESPN Radio. Had been the flagship of The Tony Kornheiser Show (now originates independently at WWWT) and Andy Pollin was also a past contributor to the network.
Milwaukee, Wisconsin Milwaukee's ESPN Radio: 1510 Days/1290 Nights WAUK was purchased by Good Karma Broadcasting in 2004, and took up the ESPN Radio affiliation, but due to being on a clear-channel frequency reserved to WLAC in Nashville, it was and is only able to broadcast during the daytime hours. WMCS (which once held the WMVP calls until being purchased by the 1000 kHz Chicago facility) aired shows at night starting in 2005 via a leased-time arragement. The format moved to WRRD as "540 ESPN" in February 2008; a future format (or affiliation) for WAUK is to be determined. The leased-time arrangement with WMCS was set to expire late in 2008.
Little Rock, Arkansas Total Sports 1380 Purchased by Simmons Media, leased to Nova M Radio, a group that leases stations to run Air America Radio programming.
