The magazine links I provided were just to identify them because those publications aren't on WP, but they could be. As my comment stated, the coverage of her was cited on IMDb. E.g. "Draculina" (USA) December 2002, Iss. 43, by: Seth Roman, "Amy Lynn Best & Were-Grrl" at http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0078890/publicity and http://www.filmthreat.com/index.php?section=interviews&Id=967 at http://us.imdb.com/name/nm0078890/miscsites. [edit] Fluffing

This was an entirely incorrect thing to do. You are Bold with edits - page moves get discussed. What possessed you to wholesale call a person who "cleans up" a porn actor a "Makeup artist" - it's not even accurate? --David Shankbone 09:09, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] poke

Since you're our resident photographer, I thought I'd point out that Perry Lakes Stadium lacks a photo, and the stadium will be demolished very soon, after which the chance to get a photo will be gone forever. It isn't a very photogenic topic, and for all I know it is a long way from where you live, so I'll interstand if you're not interested. But it doesn't hurt to ask. If you do want to take it on, you might note that Challenge Stadium is only five minutes down the road, and also lacks a photo. Hesperian 04:43, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Good on ya mate. CSIRO is notable; its Floreat site not so much. I had a quick look for other photo-less articles in the vicinity, and came up with Campbell Barracks (Australia), Bold Park Reservoir and Birds Australia Western Australia. Couyld probably come up with more if I looked hard enough, but ya can't do everything... at least not all in one day. Hesperian 12:22, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Close but no cigar. There's a cluster of buildings: the W.A. Ecology Centre; Perry House, home of the Wildflower Society; and Peregrine House, home of Birds Australia WA. Hesperian 13:38, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] WP:HAU/OC

Hello . The Highly Active Users project has gone through a complete revamping per popular demand. We believe this new format will make it easier for new editors to find assistance. However, with the new format, I must again ask you to verify your information on this page. With the extensive changes, I may have made some errors. Thanks again. bibliomaniac15 01:51, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

You will also need to add [[Category:Wikipedians who use StatusBot]] to your userpage in order for SoxBot V to automatically update your online/offline status. If you do not added this text, you will always be listed as "offline" at HAU. Thanks. Useight (talk) 02:55, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] RfA thank-spam

Gnangarra, just a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully with 112 supports, 2 opposes, and 1 neutral. If there's something I've realized during my RFA process this last week, it's that adminship is primarily about trust. I will strive to honour that trust in my future interactions with the community. Many thanks! Gatoclass (talk) 06:26, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Watchlist pages

Hi - do you know why I seem to be having a problem in that a page I randomly visit seems to have unwatchlisted itself on me. There's been half a dozen or so in the past week or two now, and just then I found that Kevin Rudd was off my watchlist! I re-add them when I see them, but who knows what other pages are unwatchlisting themselves on me... Timeshift (talk) 10:04, 21 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Howard / Obama

Hi Gnangarra. I've been pondering ways to resolve the Howard/Obama dispute. After re-reading your post, I had an idea. Most of the newspaper commentary and analysis of the event seems to portray it as a strategic mistake of Howard's to have involved himself in US politics. There's is a massive amount of commentary on the incident, from around the world. From my understanding of your post, it seemed to me that you acknowledged that the coverage and commentary makes it notable for inclusion at the current time. However, you also appear to indicate that the longer term currency of the incident will be apparent at a future time (maybe after we know who's the next US president?). Personally, I feel the incident still has currency, even if Obama's presidential bid fails, as he will still be an historic figure (being the closest any African American has ever got to president). In some ways, if Obama's bid fails, the Howard incident has more currency, as it was the first incident and controversy of Obama's campaign, the "baptism of fire", as some commentators put it. To me it is also a symbol of the Howard/Bush strong relationship, as to attack Obama and the Democrats indicates Howard put all his eggs in one basket, so to speak, counting on Republican success (which to me has long term currency, as it shows the thinking of John Howard). Would it be worth proposing to include the incident in the article if everyone acknowledges it will be reviewed after the outcome of the US elections? With so many passionate editors on both sides of the fence, there is probably not much chance of any compromise succeeding.Lester 22:13, 26 May 2008 (UTC)

I think in the "baptism of fire" its more relevant to Obama rather than JH. In the JH it has currency because of the Obama election bid. Gnangarra 01:20, 27 May 2008 (UTC)
Counting on Democrat success, Lester? This "massive amount of commentary from around the world" boils down to a handful of political commentators, in the space of three days. The syndicated news story had no follow-up. It was a news item that quickly faded. If Obama gets elected and makes a big thing about it, or there are joyous celebrations by the Al-Qaeda parties in Iraq, well, maybe. My guess is that if Obama gets elected, he won't mention the Howard incident. Nor will anybody else. Except you. --Pete (talk) 23:38, 26 May 2008 (UTC)
agree that some ifs need to occur, but saying a "big thing" or parties isnt necessary, all it needs is to be repeated again by Obama when discussing the Aus-US relationship, hence why I'm saying have it there now but it'll need to be reconsidered later. Gnangarra 01:20, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Request for Mediation: John Howard

Hello. A request for mediation has been lodged for the John Howard article, concerning whether information about an incident between John Howard and Barack Obama should be included or deleted from the article. The link for the RfM is Wikipedia:Requests_for_mediation/John_Howard. The issue is still being discussed on the article talk page. Please go to the RfM page and list whether you agree or disagree to be involved in mediation of this issue. Thank you, Lester 01:48, 27 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Oceanic (scuba gear makers)

I'm wondering how the consensus was determined as "keep" on this. I would understand closing as no consensus but, shouldn't the article be relisted to further the discussion so that a true consensus can be sorted out? I mean you have one "keep" and one "delete" with the nominator bringing to AfD and essentially saying keep after recreating the article in the first place. Jasynnash2 (talk) 12:36, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] re: user:Rakkar

Hi Gnangarra. I agree that the 'Racism in Australia' category probably should be removed from the John Howard article. However, user:Rakkar has never had a 3RR violation in the past, so may not be familiar with that. I ask administrators to give a little leeway, and engage dialogue with user:Rakkar to make sure he's familiar with the process of penalties etc. Thanks, Lester 06:13, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
