Welcome to my user page. I'm ChrisO, an administrator on the English Wikipedia and the Wikimedia Commons.
I've been a Wikipedian since October 2003 and an administrator since February 2004 (when Wikipedia was much smaller than it is now), so I suppose I could be called one of the old-timers. ![]()
I edit a wide range of topics, but the ones I keep finding myself coming back to tend to be those relating to the Balkans, classical antiquity and contemporary politics. I also have an eye for the ridiculous, which you can see in some of the article's I've edited! I've also been involved over the years in developing various aspects of Wikipedia policy and guidelines; Wikipedia:Naming conflict is one of mine, for instance.
Articles which I've written over the last year and of which I'm particularly pleased include:
- Alaska Mental Health Enabling Act - featured article, did you know?
- Crushing by elephant - featured article
- 1928 Thames flood - did you know?
- Dimmock v Secretary of State for Education and Skills - did you know?
- Fjuckby - did you know?
- Fox tossing - did you know?

!מזל טוב from Izehar |
For negotiating a ceasefire acceptable to both sides in the heated "Operation Medak Pocket" article. You really deserve this barnstar. From --P-Chan 00:21, 6 April 2006 (UTC) (KC)
