Varena is a comune (municipality) in the province of Trento in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 35 km northeast of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 825 and an area of 23.2 km².[1]
Varena borders the following municipalities: Deutschnofen, Aldein, Tesero, Daiano and Cavalese.
