Carano is a comune (municipality) in the province of Trento in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 35 km northeast of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 958 and an area of 13.6 km².[1]
Carano borders the following municipalities: Aldein, Truden, Daiano, Cavalese, Altrei, and Castello-Molina di Fiemme.
