Moena is a comune (municipality) in the province of Trento in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 60 km northeast of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,622 and an area of 82.6 km².[1]

The municipality of Moena contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Forno, Sorte, Someda, Penia, Medil and San Pellegrino.

Moena borders the following municipalities: Pozza di Fassa, Welschnofen, Vigo di Fassa, Falcade, Soraga, Predazzo and Tonadico.
