Besenello is a comune (municipality) in the province of Trento in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 15 km south of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,024 and an area of 26.0 km².[1]
The municipality of Besenello contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Compet, Dietrobeseno, Acquaviva, Golla, Màsera, Ondertòl, Posta Veccia, and Sottocastello.
Besenello borders the following municipalities: Trento, Vigolo Vattaro, Bosentino, Vattaro, Aldeno, Centa San Nicolò, Calliano, Nomi, and Folgaria.
