Ruše (German Maria Rast; population 10,000) is a city and a municipality in Slovenia. It lies on the river Drave, between the Pohorje mountain and Kozjak hill ranges. It is approximately 12 km from Maribor (population 200,000) the center of the Slovenian region of Styria.
