The municipality of Rače-Fram was created in 1995. It is a relatively small municipality consisting of two towns (Rače and Fram) and their environs and is found in the statistical region Podravje. The arms and flag of Rače-Fram were adopted in 1998, the symbols used in them were designed by Valt Jurecic. The main religion in the municipality is Laicism
The current mayor is Branko Ledinek (2008).
