One Island East (Chinese: 港島東中心) , is a supertall skyscraper that is currently under construction in TaiKoo Place on Island East, Hong Kong. The skyscraper is a commercial office building that will rise 308 m (1,011 ft) and have 59 stories of habitable office space[3] and two basement levels.[1] The building will have 70 total floors.[3] There will be a sky lobby on the 37th and 38th floors.[3] In addition, there will be 28 high speed passenger lifts and 6 high speed shuttle lifts between Main (G - 1/F) and Sky (37 - 38/F) Lobbies.[3] When completed in March of 2008, the building will be the 7th skyscraper over 1,000 ft. (305 m) completed in Hong Kong.[2][4] The building somewhat resembles the future tallest building in Hong Kong.[2][5]
