The Emirates Park Towers development is a twin-tower complex that is currently under construction [1] in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The two towers, the Emirates Park Tower 1 and the Emirates Park Tower 2 will house two large hotels [2]. At 77 stories and 395 metres high[3] they could well become the world's tallest fully hotel buildings, surpassing the Rose Tower, which is also in Dubai. Facilities available include sky terraces, 20 restaurants, rooftop bars, a major entertainment centre, banqueting and ballroom capabilities.[3]
[edit] History
This project, one of Emirates Hotels and Resorts, which is in turn part of The Emirates Group, was originally conceived as a single, 350 metre tall, 70 storey tower which was supposed to be completed in 2008 and built alongside the Sheikh Zayed Road. However, its design and location had to be changed because of the construction of a creek extension belonging to the Business Bay megaproject.
