Miss Universe Tanzania

The Miss Universe Tanzania is a beauty pageant that was first held in 2007, with winner competing in the Miss Universe pageant. Miss Universe Tanzania is not related to the previous Miss Tanzania competition.
The reigning Miss Universe Tanzania is Amanda Sululu, who was crowned on May 30, 2008.
Flaviana Matata (Miss Tanzania 2007), who becomes the country’s first Miss Universe beauty was awarded 5m/- and finished 6th at Miss Universe 2007 pageant in Mexico City, Mexico.

In 2007, Compass Communications was awarded the rights to host the Miss Universe Tanzania pageant and to send a representative to compete at Miss Universe.
