Miss Universe Slovenia (Miss Universe Slovenije) is a national pageant that sends representatives to Miss Universe Pageant. The pageant is not related to Miss Slovenia contest.
20-year-old Anamarija Avbelj of Lukovice won Miss Universe Slovenije 2008 title on May 17 at Gospodarsko razstavišče in Ljubljana.[1] She will represent Slovenia at the Miss Universe 2008 pageant in Nha Trang, Vietnam.

Slovenia began to participate in the Miss Universe beauty contest in 2001, and since then the pageant has gradually improved in terms of quality and gained popularity.
