Korn Kovers is the tentative title of an upcoming cover compilation speculated to be released in 2008 by the band Korn. There is currently no specific release date stated by the band. Recently, it was rumoured that it would be available prior to the release of the band's untitled eighth studio album, but since that album was released on July 31, 2007, and Korn Kovers was not released in July, this turned out to be false. In an interview, vocalist Jonathan Davis stated that there are no explicit details for when the album will be released, and that it is just something the band will be working on during their spare time. The project was once rumoured to have died during the first quarter of 2005 when it failed to reach its unspecified April 2005 release date. However, on July 18, 2007, frontman Jonathan Davis confirmed that the band still intends on completing the project.[1]

[edit] Track info
- "Another Brick in the Wall" has been featured on Greatest Hits Vol.1 and Live And Rare, and has been performed relatively often since its debut in late-2004.
- "Fight The Power" was originally intended to have been released exclusively on the compilation along with a collaboration with rapper Lil' Jon, but has since appeared on the XXX² soundtrack.
- "Love My Way" has been played on radio stations during interviews, and the MP3 circulated on the internet shortly after. It has been mentioned that Elijah Blue Allman from the band Deadsy appears to have provided backup vocals on the track.[citation needed]
- "Word Up! was initially performed at soundchecks prior to Korn's live performances, but has since been recorded in full-length and released on Greatest Hits Vol. 1. It also spawned a music video.
- "Earache My Eye" has appeared in the album Live And Rare, and as a hidden track on Follow the Leader, in a collaboration with actual co-performer Cheech Marin.
- In regards to "God of Emptiness", on July 19, 2007, Blabbermouth.net reported that is currently no word regarding whether Korn's version of the track, which was recorded during sessions of their fourth studio album Issues, will appear on Korn Kovers.[3]
- "Low Rider" has appeared on Life Is Peachy, with ex-guitarist Brian Welch performing vocals on the track.
- The cover of Metallica's "One" has appeared as a hidden track on Take a Look in the Mirror and as a B-side from the Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life CD single release of "Did My Time", as well as Live And Rare released by Epic Records/Sony. However this is a live version taken from the MTV program MTV Icon honoring Metallica in 2003, and not a studio take.
- "Wicked" has appeared on Life Is Peachy, with Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno performing vocals on the track.
- An acoustic cover of Radiohead's song, Creep was part of the set list for the band's Unplugged album.
- "Whole Lotta Love" & "Immigrant Song" By Led Zeppelin were part of the set list for the band's Unplugged album, But Never Made It To The Stage. Performance Can Be Seen On YouTube
