From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

White Oak Mountain Wildlife Management Area is a protected area located in Pittsylvania County, Virginia. More a plateau than a mountain, the area's topography contains elevations ranging from around 550 to about 900 feet above sea level. 2748 acres in size, the property is comprised of nearly two-thirds forest, with timber types including various examples of hardwoods, including several species of oak, and pines. Forest management and annual and perennial plantings combine with controlled burns to form a management program for the area.
