Cleveland Barrens Natural Area Preserve

Cleveland Barrens Natural Area Preserve is a Natural Area Preserve located in Russell County, Virginia. It preserves a series of important dolomite barrens, rare plant species, and three rare species of insect. Its 1070 acres lie within the Clinch River Valley, and contain various grasses, such as Sorghastrum nutans, Andropogon gerardii, and Schizochyrium scoparium.
