Hello, and welcome to my user page!
[edit] About me
I'm a semi-recent graduate of the College of William and Mary in Virginia with a degree in art history. My strongest interest lies in academic art, primarily that of Poland and other states in Eastern Europe. I'm also interested in the Western-style art of Japan. My non-major-related interests include classical music (especially opera), lighthouses, Photoshop, and SomethingAwful. I also have a heavy interest in automobiles, and have been trying to write up articles on a number of defunct makes for which I have information.
I'm a bit flighty when it comes to choosing the things I like to work on; generally, I prefer finding and rewriting material online rather than in print, as I have less patience juggling a book and a computer. Still, I try to do my part in searching out esoteric information (such as properties of the National Trust for the Cayman Islands) and bringing it to Wikipedia. My current goal is to produce at least one edit per day.
Since I'm in musing mode...the sheer scope of this project frightens me, as does the phenomenal rate at which it's grown since even since I created my first article on this account, Rosalind Ellicott, in January of 2006. I am constantly stunned not only by the wealth of information left to cover, but by the sheer dedication so many people feel to ensuring its coverage. I take great pleasure in being one of those people. Besides, who doesn't like doing something nice for the Greater Good?
Wait. Not that Greater Good. Never mind.

[edit] Other things you may or may not find useful
Here are some great links to lists of needed articles:
Actually, pretty much anything under the heading of Wikipedia:Requested articles would be good to consider. And then there's the geographic stuff that's needed...and the other articles that need translating from other Wikis, and the categories that need creating...basically, there's tons of work left to do. The above are just some good places to begin.
