[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:Burytownfc.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Burytownfc.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:16, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Gary King
Hey Siva, I'd just like to let you know that you voted twice in Gary King's RFA. I indented your second support vote. Cheers! SpencerT♦C 16:53, 12 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] RFA thanks
Thanks for your support in my RFA, that didn't quite make it and ended at 120/47/13. There was a ton of great advice there, that I'm going to go on. Maybe someday. If not, there are articles to write! Thanks for your support. Lawrence § t/e 17:42, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rfa thanks
Thanks for supporting my recent request for adminship which was successful with 89 supports, 0 opposes, and 2 neutrals. Unfortunately all I can offer is this lame text thanks rather than some fancy-smancy thank-you spam template thingy. I was very pleased to receive such strong support and to hear so many nice comments from editors whom I respect. I’ll do my best with the tools, and if you ever see me going astray don’t hesitate to drop a note on my talk page. Thanks again for your support!--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 03:42, 26 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Lady Aleena's RfA
| Siva1979...Thank you for supporting my nomination for adminship. Through it I have become aware of a great many people who can help me in my future editing endeavors. Even though I was not promoted, your support shows that I still have something to contribute to Wikipedia, even if it is minor edits to fix spelling and grammar to working in WikiProjects to help others make great articles. If you wish to further discuss the nomination, please use its talk page. Stop by my talk page anytime, even if it is just to say hello. Have a wonderful day! - LA @ 03:59, 30 April 2008 (UTC) |

[edit] Manchester United Grammer
I liked your comment about the grammer using is or are for a club regarding Manchester United. I'm from the United States, and we see the club as one not as multiple players, thats why we use is for a club, besides aren't Man U Americanized enough?
[edit] New Project
Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.
If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 07:01, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of All-Round Athletics
I have nominated All-Round Athletics, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/All-Round Athletics. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Tan | 39 18:58, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Rfb participation thanks
Hello, Siva.
I wanted to personally thank you for taking part in the project-wide discussions regarding my candidacy for bureaucratship. After bureaucratic discussion, the bureaucrats decided that there was sufficient significant and varied opposition to my candidacy, and thus no consensus to promote. Although personally disappointed, I both understand and respect their decision, especially in light of historical conservatism the project has had when selecting its bureaucrats. If you have any further suggestions or comments as to how you think I could help the project, please let me know. Once again, thank you for your both your early and strong support. -- Avi (talk) 16:35, 12 May 2008 (UTC)

Hi Siva; I wanted to say thank you for supporting my request for adminship, which passed with 100 supports, 0 opposes and 1 neutral. I wanted to get round everybody individually, even though it's considered by some to be spam (which... I suppose it is! but anyway. :)). It means a lot to me that the community has placed its trust in my ability to use the extra buttons, and I only hope I can live up to its expectations. If you need anything, or notice something that bothers you, don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks again, PeterSymonds | talk 22:21, 13 May 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Brookhousefc.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Brookhousefc.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check
-
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
- That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
The following images also have this problem:

| Many thanks for your participation in my recent request for adminship. I am impressed by the amount of thought that goes into people's contribution to the RfA process, and humbled that so many have chosen to trust me with this new responsibility. I step into this new role cautiously, but will do my very best to live up to your kind words and expectations, and to further the project of the encyclopedia. [edit] Your RfA participating
Siva. I generally follow all RfAs, regardless of voting or not. I have noticed your participation recently and saw a pattern of responses that are virtually identical to one another... all supports seem to be the same, all opposes seem to be the same. Furthermore, looking here I see that in the past you have voted in 5+ RfAs all in the matter of about 10 minutes. Often 3 RfAs in 3 minutes, etc. It appears that you have participated in hundreds of RfAs in such a manner. I didn't come here to be accusatory, but I admit I have a lot of concern regarding this. Do you feel obligated to vote on all RfAs you click on, regardless of time spent researching the candidate? Do you ever look beyond the RfA page itself to make a decision on a candidate? My concern is that you may be coming to the RfA page and make quick, short votes on several RfAs on after the other without actually looking into the candidate. Of course this is your right, but I'm not sure how much it is helping us build consensus on whether or not to pass a particular RfA. I appreciate any comments you may have on this. Gwynand | Talk•Contribs 19:06, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] My recent RfA
Thank you for supporting my RfA, which unfortunately didn't succeed. The majority of the opposes stated that I needed more experience in the main namespace and Wikipedia namespace and talk space, so that is what I will do. I have made a list and I hope I will be able to get through it. I will go for another RfA in about three month's time and I hope you will be able to support me then as well. If you have any other comments for me or wish to be notified when I go for another RfA, please leave them on my talk page. If you wish to nominate me for my next RfA, please wait until it has been about three months. I will not be checking back to this page so if you would like to comment or reply please use my talk page. Thanks again for participating in my RfA! ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 06:48, 20 May 2008 (UTC)

Your comments "#Support No problems here! " seems a regular Crtl C + Crtl V at the RFAs. :) No offence intended ! Anyways have fun and happy editing -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 12:36, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, read my comments above as well. I'm not sure there is any way we can convince Siva to add more to his !votes. Siva, you should understand that complete duplicate vote, either support or oppose, greatly devalues the vote. No one has any idea that you have researched the candidate or knows what your thoughts are or why you are voting. You should seriously considering adding something to your responses. Gwynand | Talk•Contribs 12:38, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
- Yes Siva, As you know RFA is a not a vote , you may probably consider telling why you support/like/hate/oppose the candidate. Just a suggestion , you may ignore my comments. -- TinuCherian (Wanna Talk?) - 12:52, 21 May 2008 (UTC)
