First off, on Wikipedia I am only what I choose to be; that is to say, I will not reveal anything about my real world identity (I will say stuff of only trivial interest, though, if you actually feel the urge to ask something ;-). I feel that who I am in the real world should have no bearing on who I am on Wikipedia. However, I do feel that if people want to explain away who they really are, then they should feel free to do so; I feel that's a personal choice.

I will say that the areas I mainly work in on Wikipedia are not in any way anything I have a professional connection to; I am strictly just a keen amateur. My main interest is in disasters and accidents, how we can prevent their occurrence, and how to prevent reoccurence of those that are not averted. Within that, my main specialty is in aviation accidents and incidents, and from there I have developed an interest in aviation as a whole. Other possible areas that I may one day work in are in natural sciences, particularly with regards to invertebrates. We'll see.

Finally, I leave you with a paradox. An IP changed my user page vandalism counter up one. Obviously, that makes it inaccurate. However, in making it inaccurate, it has become an act of vandalism... Good, huh? It got enough of a laugh outta me that I just left it there, and haven't bothered warning the user, either. Not that other vandals will be so lucky!!!!
