Moltrasio is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Como in the Italian region Lombardy, located about 45 kilometres (28 mi) north of Milan and about 6 kilometres (4 mi) north of Como, on the border with Switzerland. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,796 and an area of 8.9 km².[1]
The municipality of Moltrasio contains the frazione (subdivision) Donegano.
Moltrasio borders the following municipalities: Blevio, Bruzella (Switzerland), Caneggio (Switzerland), Carate Urio, Cernobbio, Schignano, Torno.
