CHEX-TV-2, branded as Channel 12 Durham (for its cable position; its broadcast channel is 22), is a CBC-affiliated television station in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, serving the Durham Region. It is owned by Corus Entertainment.

In 1992, CHEX-TV, based in Peterborough, started broadcasting its programming on a new transmitter in Oshawa, broadcasting on a channel used prior to 1988 as a Toronto-area rebroadcaster of CIII-TV. In 1993, the Oshawa transmitter became a semi-satellite with some slight differences in local programming. By the early 2000s, the station had adopted a very different schedule; for instance, most local current-affairs programs, such as Live at 5 and First Take Live, are produced and aired independently of the Peterborough station, and focus on the Durham Region. "Live at 5," entering its first season with the station, is hosted by Rita Nave, Garth Riley and Dan Carter and local news anchor Mark Orton who provides the Durham Region with both local and national news. "First Take Live," now in its eighth season on Channel 12, is hosted by well known local TV personality Dan Carter, who discusses issues that affect the Durham Region on a daily basis. Viewers are also able to ask questions regarding the issues discussed, by calling into the show or by e- mail, to be answered by Dan and his guest (s). "Discover Durham," the daily events listing offered by the station is also another way that Channel 12 incorporates community involvement, providing the inhabitants of Durham with information on upcoming local events and activities. "Discover Durham," is hosted by Rita Nave.

The only news program from CHEX-TV proper currently seen on CHEX-TV-2 is the 11PM weeknight edition of Newswatch.

CHEX-TV-2 is carried on Rogers cable throughout the Greater Toronto Area.

Oshawa, though larger than Peterborough, had not been granted a television station in the original 1950's assignments as it was too close to Toronto. The station is affiliated with the CBC network, even though the Durham region is within the broadcast area of Toronto's CBLT.

Most of CHEX-TV-2's CBC programming are children's shows, prime-time and weekend programs -- the rest of the schedule are filled with syndicated shows, local programming and infomercials. Notable non-CBC programs include The Oprah Winfrey Show (seen at 1PM, three hours before the telecast on CFTO-TV) and The Price Is Right (seen at 4PM, 5 hours later than on CBS and CKXT-TV).
