Castelnuovo Rangone is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Modena in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 40 km west of Bologna and about 13 km south of Modena. As of 30 September 2007, it had a population of 13,555 and an area of 22.61 km².[1]
The municipality of Castelnuovo Rangone contains the frazioni (subdivisions, mainly villages and hamlets) Montale, Cavidole, and San Lorenzo.
