"We Takin' Over" is a hip-hop song by DJ Khaled, released as the first single from his album We the Best. Akon, T.I., Rick Ross, Fat Joe, Birdman a.k.a "Baby" and Lil' Wayne are all featured on this track. The song was produced by Danja. It was released through the U.S. iTunes Store on March 27, 2007 and debuted at number 51 on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart and has thus far peaked at number 28. It debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 on the issue date of April 14, 2007 at number 75, so far it has peaked at 26. It is also featured on iTunes Hip-Hop/Rap Top 100 where it is currently No. 12. Cameos are made by Pitbull, Junior Reid, Johnny Dang, T-Pain, Trina & Cool & Dre

The video has many similarities to Notorious B.I.G's video for "Hypnotize", as well. Notably, the song features so many collaborations that the entire artist list can barely fit in the one-line "artist" section of a music video caption.

VIBE ranked Lil Wayne's lyric to end the song his #1 best of 2007, ranking 77 of his best songs and appearances.[1]
