The Oklahoma Senate Election of 2008 will be held on November 4, 2008. Republican Senator James Inhofe has indicated that he is likely to seek re-election. Only Democratic State Senator Andrew Rice has announced.
Oklahoma has a Democratic governor, Brad Henry, but the other senator is Republican Tom Coburn. According to the Daily Oklahoman on April 15, Inhofe stated that he is going to run for a third term.
State Senators Kenneth Corn and Andrew Rice have expressed interest in the race. On July 30, 2007, it was reported that Rice is going to file soon, although he has not done this. [1] Andrew Rice reported that he is going to challenge Inhofe, and announced his candidacy after Labor Day.[2]
