The West Virginia gubernatorial election of 2008 is scheduled to take place on November 4, 2008.
Incumbent governor Joe Manchin III is eligible for reelection. His opponents in November will be Russ Weeks, whom won the May 13 Republican gubernatorial primary; and Frank Kula, an Independent nominee. Butch Paugh, of the Constitution Party failed finish the ballot petition in time for the May 12 West Virginia deadline and will not be on the november ballot [1].
