[edit] Lemony Snicket
Thanks for uploading the new Olaf pic. Can you tell me where you found it? I've been looking all over for it.
Also, I really appreciate you posting the Brett Helquist pics, but there shouldn't be more than one pic in a profile. Since yours is better, I kept them in the profile while moving the movie pic in the article.--CyberGhostface 20:11, 12 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] need book data
About Image:Beatrice.jpg You claim it's the cover of a book. Can yo provide data (otherwise it's an unsourced image and should be deleted within a few days). Book title, isbn , amazon url, etc anything that can identify the book and verify the cover belongs to it. -- ( drini's page ☎ ) 06:42, 13 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] More Lemony Snicket
Hi--
I've removed the Beatrice picture as I don't recall that ever been explicitly identified as her.
Also, I removed the 'Later Appearences' from the template as its not really necessary. I mean, for comicbook characters we just list their first appearence, and not every single one after that.
But I do want to thank you for contributing what you have done. I especially like the new Olaf and Fiona pictures.--CyberGhostface 01:06, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- Me again. I don't think its really worth noting that Olaf has white color in one media and gray in the other, so I reverted it. If there was a notable difference in appearence (like say he had blond or red hair) there should be a change, but since he's pretty much close to the way he is in the book in terms of appearence I think it should the stay the way it is.--CyberGhostface 11:42, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Stub templates
Howdy! Just posting here to let you know that I've put the two stub templates you recently created, {{Pirate-stub}} and {{Privateer-stub}} onto the Stub discoveries page for discussion. If you've any comments to make, feel free to drop by. GeeJo (t) (c) • 19:56, 14 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Jungle Jam and Friends: The Radio Show!
You seem to be the primary author of this article... it really looks to me a lot like it violates WP:SPAM at the moment, and so will probably be deleted soon. Any chance you'd rewrite it to conform to WP:NPOV? Graham 09:52, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] V.F.D. Codes
I created the page, like you suggested. I put in the sebald code, isadora and duncan's code, and verbal fridge dialogue. Is there any other VFD codes that belong in it? (Clamster5 18:07, 23 July 2006 (UTC))
[edit] Languages
Hi There! Can you translate my name in what language you know please, and then post it Here. I would be very grateful if you do (if you know another language apart from English and the ones on my userpage please feel free to post it on) P.S. all th translations are in alpahbetical order so when you add one please put it in alpahbetical order according to the language. Thanks!!! Abdullah Geelah 17:18, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Islamic Wikiproject Award
Would you be so kind as to go to the discussion about the Islamic Wikiproject Award? This has been a proposal that has lingered for donkey's yonks. I think the image is acceptable as a WP:PUA, but don't think the image is in line with most of the images at Wikipedia:Wikiproject awards. The design is not well supported, and right before I was going to archive the debate for lack of support, someone else moved it to the Wikiproject awards page.
The current discussion is going on here: Wikipedia:Barnstar_and_award_proposals/New_Proposals#Another_image. Your input is appreciated. --evrik 10:48, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Your excellent work on Azazel
Thank you so much for all the work you've been doing to Azazelâyou've really made some quality edits and it's really a pleasure for me to see another editor on Wikipedia being a productive member of the community. I only have one small quibble, thoughâyou ought to consider using the "Show preview" button rather than saving a dozen edits changing only a couple of things. This would enable other users to more easily track the changes committed to the page by one user, and it cuts down on cluttered edit histories. Also, you might consider using edit summaries so that other users can have a quick reference to the substance of your edits. These are really only procedural matters; your edits are terrific. Thank you! --Makaristos 01:29, 8 January 2007 (UTC)
I removed the edits you added to the Hebrew Bible/Rabbinic Literature section to the Talk page for the article. The reason is that this material doesn't appear to be a summary of the Hebrew Bible or Rabbinic Literature at all, it seems to be expository commentary that appears to actually come from one or more commentators or secondary sources. It's very important that our encyclopedia be reliable and not create a risk of misattributing material from one source as coming from another. I've put the material on the article's Talk page. If you'd like to you are welcome to re-add this material in a section which properly identifies its origin, e.g. "in Contemporary Biblical Criticism" or similar, as long as you supply reliable sources for it. I recommend using footnote-style sourcing for each claim made. Note that claims such as a particular interpretation is "most probable" etc. are particuarly problematic per WP:SOAP, and should generally be attributed as a particular individual's claim if made. Best, --Shirahadasha 13:10, 10 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned fair use image (Image:The VFD eye.png)
Thanks for uploading Image:The VFD eye.png. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:CarmelitaSpats.jpg
Image:CarmelitaSpats.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 06:05, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello... thanks for adding Imperial unit conversions to the Moon article. However, please make sure that the metric units remain first in order, as per the custom with scientific articles. (This avoids the need for someone to come in and clean it up afterwards.) As well, the " " code should be left intact as it helps to keep units and their respective values together on a line. [edit] Prairie hare
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Prairie hare, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: White-tailed Jackrabbit. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 00:35, 29 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] English Phonemic Representation
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of English Phonemic Representation, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:English_Phonemic_Representation. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 06:09, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] commons:Category:Branches
Hi, The Man in Question :). I noticed you were doing some work on commons adding pix to this category, and was wondering what your intention is with this. I ask only because there are likely to be tens of thousands of images of branches on commons, which means the category probably won't be particularly useful. Do you have a particular goal in mind for collecting these images?
Please rest assured that any effort to help organize commons is appreciated... I just wonder if you might consider helping to organize on a more narrowly defined subject :). --SB_Johnny | talk 23:26, 20 November 2007 (UTC)
- I see. In the future, you might want to just create gallery pages on commons for that sort of thing, rather than categories. Keep in mind that categories run a bit differently on commons, because you can have an awful lot of images (or other files) that treat the same subject. Assuming that there probably are (say) 20k images with branches in them, the category will necessarily be either incomplete or unbrowseable, if you see what I mean. I just don't want you to spend energy doing that when there are so many other things that need folks to help us with :). --SB_Johnny | talk 22:24, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Regarding some plant page moves
Hi there! I saw some of your contributions that showed up the WP:PLANTS assessment logs that show page moves. I moved them back to the scientific names per the flora naming convention, which prefers scientific names for article titles over common names, unless they meet the exceptions given. Just wanted to drop by and point you to that convention if you hadn't already seen it. Cheers, Rkitko (talk) 04:05, 21 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] List of names in English with non-intuitive pronunciations
Hi. You've started to put some serious work in this article. About 4% on your way, I thought I catch you before it gets too frustrating when whole chunks get reverted. Perhaps you want to discuss what you're planning to do on the talk page before going on. Primarily, I'm concerned with your changes of the second pronunciation indication to what I figure after some digging is the idiosyncratic American Heritage Dictionary's way of spelling pronunciation. The current situation is that the IPA text is there to provide the standard/precise indication, followed by something that helps any English-speaking person to immediately deduce how to say the word. Most people will be as unfamiliar with the AHD alphabet as with IPA, making it just redundant. For example " Blackley, Manchester — /ˈbleɪkli/ (“blakely”) " is going to be more helpful than " Blackley, Manchester — /ˈbleɪkli/; (blākʹlē) ". Afasmit (talk) 16:00, 25 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Lundagårdbanner.gif
Thanks for uploading Image:Lundagårdbanner.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 21:36, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of Jungle Jam characters (The Jungle)
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article List of Jungle Jam characters (The Jungle), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Frankencelery.jpg
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Frankencelery.jpg. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 12:02, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Gaelic mistakes
A Mhan, Ciamar a tha sibh? Ceart ma tha... I'm not sure what your intention was in changing the Gaelic and OI on the Banshee and Bean Nighe pages, but you introduced some bizarre errors. I am concerned that you not only made these changes (do you have any Gaelic?), but that you even moved pages to some odd names. Please do not introduce these changes or page moves again without seeking consensus on the talk page, specifically from those who have Gaelic. You introduced a lot of problems that now have to be cleaned up. Moran Taing a-rithist, - Kathryn NicDhàna ♫♦♫ 01:40, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

- No, they are not correct in any of the modern Gaelics, which are what we are using in the articles.
