The '70s on 7 (or just The '70s) is a commercial-free, satellite radio station on the XM Satellite Radio platform. It plays music from the 1970s, mostly being the hits. The channel is programmed by Texas radio veteran, Kurt Gilchrist.
Much like the other decades channels, The '70s on 7 attempts to recreate the feel of 1970s radio. They use similar DJ techniques, jingles, '70s slang, and news updates. Due to being commercial free, they do not recreate any sponsor spots. The channel is also used for XM's annual pop music chronology, IT.
The 70s on 7 is the fourth most listened to station on the XM service, with a cume of 667,400 listeners per week, according to Arbitron analysis.[1]
