The SNCB Class 28 number series has been brought back into use for Bombardier TRAXX locomotives, formerly numbered as E186 123..E186 125. These locomotives are in used with B-Cargo, the freight division of NMBS/SNCB.

The original SNCB Class 28 locomotives were produced by Baume-Marpent in 1949.
