[edit] More Info from Magazines
Can you please provide the ISSN for the following three journals? (I'm working to eliminate all the ISSN Needed Tags throughout Wikipedia.) I've looked pretty thoroughly for the identification number for Sega Pro, and have not found it. I have not yet searched for the other two. Thanks! Keesiewonder talk 02:20, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

- Actually, by Commodore Power, do you mean Commodore Power Play, which is ISSN 0739-8018? Or are these two different magazines? --Keesiewonder talk 13:17, 11 February 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for uploading the cover image for Sega Pro - Bar codes include the ISSN that I've been looking for! Keesiewonder talk 23:32, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Laser Squad
Hi. You recently uploaded five Laser Squad screenshots, and tagged them as {{Non-free game screenshot}}. In fact, Julian Gollop has placed Laser Squad (and several other games) in the public domain. However, commons:user:tsca would seem to need convincing, as he deleted a bunch of C64 Laser Squad screenshots without even bothering to check with Julian Gollop first. If you'd like to confirm that they are PD, you could put this on OTRS. Cheers! --StuartBrady (Talk) 12:43, 19 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Image:Red_dwarf_doug_rob.jpg
I have tagged Image:Red_dwarf_doug_rob.jpg as {{no rationale}}, because it does not provide a fair use rationale. If you believe the image to be acceptable for fair use according to Wikipedia policy, please provide a rationale explaining as much, in accordance with the fair use rationale guideline, on the image description page. Please also consider using {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. Thank you. Rettetast (talk) 16:54, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

- Thanks. It's alaways nice that someone notices your contributions. I still feel the article needs a bit of attention though. Do you kown if there is a Wikipedia guideline on writing video games magazine articles? -- Nreive (talk) 08;50, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
[edit] peer review
I was wondering if you could take some time out of your schedule to head over to the Heroes (TV series) talkpage and give us an honest peer review. The page has gone through some major changes in the last few months, and it would be fantastic if a prominent editor/contributor like yourself, could head over and give us at the Heroes Wikiproject some sound opinion and ideas on improvements for the page. We have all worked very hard at improving the page, and we need great outside, reliable and trustworthy users to come over and help us improve. I you are interested in joining the peer review discussion with other prominent users/contributors, much like yourself, please follow the link. Thank you very much for your help and your continued effort to improve Wikipedia and its quality! [edit] Re: Terminator merges
Hi Nreive. Could you link me to the Wikipedia guideline that outlines how such articles should be formed? You say that when the sections grow larger and have "enough real world information", they can be split off. However, when you merged these articles you removed the most encyclopedic information of all, which pertains to the real world aspects of the games (developer, publisher, release date, platforms, etc.). Furthermore, you removed the images of the covers, which serve to identify the individual games and are particularly important in this case, since the games are all based on the same franchise and can be easily confused. The cover images will now be deleted as they are orphaned, so that when these articles are split off in the future the work that I have already done (which was quite time-consuming) will have to be repeated. In addition, you removed most of the relevant external links. As the page you linked states: "Whatever you do, endeavour to preserve information". All in all, I think this merge is a big step backwards.
I'd be in favour of an article like Batman computer and video games, which has summary style descriptions of all the games in the franchise with links to their main articles. With regards to notability, I'm sure that none of these games fail that policy. They might lack references and suitable sources may be hard to track down due to the games' age, but they certainly exist. Mgiganteus1 (talk) 01:35, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. The page you linked states: "If the small articles have already existed for some time, the preferred course of action is to create the larger article first and redirect the small articles only after consensus determines that the large article is of sufficient quality." Firstly, there was no consensus to merge these articles as far as I am aware. Secondly, the merging of many small articles into a larger one is only a proposal (item 7 is in grey). [edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:BR game gameplay.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:BR game gameplay.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:17, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
