Nestlé Wonder Ball

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"Wonder Balls are a spherical, thin shell of milk chocolate with candy inside, wrapped in foil and packaged with a collectible sticker. The product's slogan is "What's in the Wonder Ball?" Originally called Nestle Magic Ball, the product used to contain small figurines of Disney characters, similar to a Kinder Surprise, which are sold in Europe. However, due to choking hazard concerns, the product was withdrawn in 1997[1]. In April 2000, the Wonder Ball was re-released with candy in place of the toys[2]. In 2004, the brand was sold to the Frankford Candy & Chocolate Company[3].

[edit] Theme Song

Wonder Balls commercial was a jovial tune, featuring alternating lines of lyrics between children singing and what sounds like a man singing through a tin can, with distortion. For the purposes of clarity, the lyrics of the man singing through the distortion-can are in italic.

What's inside the magic box and,
What's inside the magic foil?
What's inside the magic foil and,
What's inside the chocolate ball?
What's inside the chocolate ball and,
(Wacky Sound Effect Plays as the children discover their new toy.)
What's inside a, What's inside a, What will you get in yours?
