Re: VA Stations
Hello...I felt that most of the stations were fairly well written, but could use some work in some areas, history wise..but didn't require a "Start" or "Stub" class tag. I though "B" was as low as most of the articles could go. Then I just copy/pasted it to all of them. If you or anyone else feel that some radio/TV articles are a "Start" or a "Stub", or even an "A" or a "GA", then by all means switch them. I just went to the lowest possible rating that I felt the articles fell under. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 21:09, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
- One of the TV stations, especially WAVY, WHSV, or WTVR, would be great candidates for "GA". They are very well written articles (only WHSV is partially written by me) with tons of researched information and secondary sources, if I am not mistaken...if not, there could be with a quick Google search. With WTVR being the South's (and Virginia's) first television station, I think that one would be a great start, but in terms of history, length, etc. WHSV would be my first choice. Take care...NeutralHomer T:C 04:16, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
RfC
Just wanted to let you know that I opened an RfC on myself in response to the concerns raised during my RfA over my actions in the Gary Weiss dispute. The RfC is located here and I welcome any comments or questions you may have. CLA 04:39, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Stephens City
Thanks for the correction. Wasn't really sure how the page setup went. Also, thanks for uping the class to a "B", I appericate it:) - NeutralHomer T:C 03:29, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- If I can get some more information, some pictures (I can take a couple...I live here) and really make the page look nice...I would submit the Stephens City page in a heartbeat. I might see what I can do about getting what information I can tomorrow while I am out. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 03:53, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
- Good Job:) Yeah, I think Stephens City. Couple things came up, so on Friday, I am going to get the pictures, some of what was "Crossroads" or "Freetown" (oddly within a 2min walk of where I live) and a couple other places. - NeutralHomer T:C 22:17, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
My RfA ...
Hi. Thanks for supporting my request for adminship and for your generous compliments there and on my talk page. I was truly touched by them and hope to justify your trust in me. The RfA was successful and I am now an admin. If I can ever be of help, please let me know. Cheers, Black Falcon (Talk) 05:40, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
San‘a’
Thanks for reviewing my revert to the above noted page. I realized (too late) that I didn't revert back far enough to take out all of the recent vandalism, and when I looked you had already taken care of it. Nice work! Grimey109 03:44, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, though I didn't actually review your revert - I think we both reverted at the same time :). Cheers.--Kubigula (talk) 03:50, 7 June 2007 (UTC)

Kilt variants article deletion
I was unaware of the deletion debate in re the kilt variants article until it was over. As for your own comment that it appeared to be a fork of the kilt article: the kilt variants article was created before the present content of the kilts article on the Scottish kilt was included in that latter article. At the time, the kilt article was being commandered by a troll and editing thereto was not possible. I wrote the variants article and also, after the troll was gone, patched the now duplicate content to the kilt article, and this is why there was very little in the kilt variants article to be merged with kilt (it had already been done - by myself).
As for the variants article, it addressed a number of common questions which constantly recur at Highland Games gatherings, though in view o the duplication (after the merger which I performed), it should probably have been re-worked.
I found the debate to be at least mildly offensive and insulting, fueled by ignorance of the history of the articles. More problematical is that fact that the variants article has been reprinted (and not just by robots) and now that the edit history is unavailable, I believe that my GFDL rights as author are violated since the GFDL requires credit and a reference to WP no longer leads to the edit history. I will likely be writing to Wales and FSF about this GFDL violation.
Those who voted for delete were probably not aware of the reprinting on highly reputable Scots heritage sites and its favorable review by multiple independent posters on another site.

Stephens City
You moved that picture after I added another one, I went back to it and went "OK, now where'd that go?" :) But, no worries, it looks good up there.
My apologizes for my slowness on the page, lots have come up and I was working on getting some pictures and information. I look some on June 8th, but the heat caused little "clouds" on the pictures, so I had to retake them. I got some really good information and plan on adding it probably tomorrow. Take Care...NeutralHomer T:C 21:08, 16 June 2007 (UTC)
Re: Your doing?
When I saw that I was not the only one missing it, I decided to be bold and add it myself since User:Lupin seems not to be that much around, these days. Glad that can help! -- lucasbfr talk 06:31, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
Your RfA
Hi Kubigula, As your nominator let me be the first to congratulate you, on your RfA. No doubt a 'crat will be along shortly to make it official. I had very little doubt from day one and I'm glad to see so many other editors agree with me about your contributions to Wikipedia. Anyway well done, and if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask someone else ;) Seriously, there's load of admins out there willing to support you in your first few days, and they will not treat any question as a stupid question. All the best for the future. Khukri 09:17, 19 June 2007 (UTC)
Adminship
Congratulations, you are now an administrator - and with unanimous support! Thanks for the message, Kubigula. I don't regret supporting you... yet :D —AldeBaer 04:35, 20 June 2007 (UTC) (and congrats, of course)
- Congrats! Use the tools wisely, take it all with a grain of salt and a damn big margarita! Jmlk17 05:23, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Insights and advice? Sure!
- Insight #1: they are out to get you, so ...
- Advice #1: never give anyone any advice about adminship. Oh, wait ...
- Self-contradiction and paranoia aside, I doubt there's anything I could say that you don't probably already know. So, I'll just tell something that I didn't discover until after becoming an admin. Here it is: clearing the CSD backlog can be really boring; after a few dozen spam and nonsense pages, speedy deletion loses its novelty.
;-)To generalise that a bit more ... there's a lot of things admins can do, so either do something that you like or do a little of everything so that there's always a bit of variety. Of course, a margarita would do just as well. Cheers, Black Falcon (Talk) 17:32, 21 June 2007 (UTC)- Yes, I will continue my work. :) You're welcome for the support. Good luck! Congratulations on your RFA, and thanks for the message
(That was a long title). I just came to say thanks for the message on my talk page -- I always like to hear appreciation of my contributions, just like I think every editor does. And congratulations about your RFA. Yiou must be truly needed as an admin, because the vote was unanimous! Good luck in future and with the tools, -- Anonymous DissidentTalk -- (dated 21:46, 20 June 2007 UTC)
D'Oh!
I guess you wanted to make sure no one could ever accuse you of a WP:CANVASS violation but you played that very close to the vest: "my question to you was part of my thinking about it"—when your nomination was already up. Congrats and ¡suerte!.--Fuhghettaboutit 22:21, 20 June 2007 (UTC)
- Oh yes, a noble cause. Just try not to become dephlogisticated or you won't have the energy to stump for all the greats of science, like Cayce MacDougall, Berlitz, Velikovsky and my personal hero, Erich von Däniken.--Fuhghettaboutit 05:43, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Linkin park live in new york
I see you removed the Speedy delete tag from the Linkin park live in new york. Technially, the album does not exist. There are no proper sources that verify its existence - I've checked Google, Topix, and the band's website. Would it be alright to re-add the speedy tag? Or should I go through the (somewhat) lengthy process of nominating it for deletion WP:afd style? --►ShadowJester07 23:53, 23 June 2007 (UTC)

Virginia Barnstar
I created this image for when the WP:Va first kicked off and always intended to pass it on to folks who I saw put a lot of effort into the project in some form or another. Ever since you went on the tagging and rating spree, I feel you earned it. So congrats, a true Virginia Barn star.

Nancy Grace
I have been meaning to thank you for all the work you did to bring some balance to the nancy Grace article and get the POV issue settled. I got sidetracked b y real life and a bunch of other articles and frankly, Nancy just didn't make my to-do list! Great job!LiPollis 17:15, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

RFA
| Thank you for your support and comments at my RfA | ||
| Hi Kubigula, It still amazes me that otherwise "anonymous" editors take the time to place !votes and comments on RfAs. Whilst I would have normally thanked you at the time of you leaving your message, the importance of my not appearing to be canvassing prevented me from so doing. Now that everything has progressed successfully I can finally thank you. I intend to uphold a style of good adminship and will welcome your further comments at any time in the future, even if they are in the form of admonishment. I will be happy to help as an admin wherever and whenever I can --VS talk 23:40, 27 June 2007 (UTC) |
RfA thanks
Hey
Do you want me to "stub" all the radio station pages since I was the one who put them on "B"? I won't mind doing it.
Also, my apologizes for lacking on working the Stephens City, Virginia page. Lots of craziness going on in the offline world. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 19:43, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

New Radio Articles
Hey, I am working on a TON of new radio articles. I want there to be a page for each radio station in VA. So, I need to that the VA Template to the talk pages. What do I put on the "class"? Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 03:59, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- Okie Dokie:) It might not be til tomorrow til I get around to the talk pages, so if they look bare, I have either crashed or am still working on a section. Am working on Harrisonburg, Charlottesville, and Fredericksburg now and going from there. Hope you had a good weekend. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 04:16, 9 July 2007 (UTC)
- I added the VA templates, but left them with no class tag, so you all can have a look see before classifying them. Take Care....NeutralHomer T:C 21:17, 9 July 2007 (UTC)

The account was being used for vandalism and vandalism only, so I made a judgement call to hand down an indefinite block (We block sockpuppet IPs indefinitely all the time). The range also looks familiar ... I wonder if a vandal is evading other blocks. If a legitimate reason to unblock comes up, I'll do it. Daniel Case 03:33, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

I have no problem with your removing my prod, esp. since it was to revert it to a previous version of the article that does, as you said, show some claim to notability. But you could have taken the few extra seconds to add back in the various tags, like the uncategorised part.
