i was born and spent my childhood in limerick. between 1997 and 2001, i spent most of my time in the netherlands, with time spent working on a farm near assens in denmark as well as a few weeks in koln. i'm a huge music fan (idm, psych folk, jazz (especially john coltrane), the beatles, and loads more, most recently dubstep). i am also a big fan of LOST, and counting down the days til the second half of season 4. i'm fascinated by maths, which i firmly believe to be the ur-language of EVERYTHING.
i've been editing more than a year now; i've slowed down a bit since i started a new job; i spend too much time looking at monitors. a lot of my edits recently seem to be reverting vandalism - pretty impressed with twinkle <3
my first edit was a very trivial one on the talk page of an article concerning a musician i'm not even a fan of. wiki just sucks you in.
there are some aspects of wiki i find deeply troubling; most recently, the over-rigorous stance of some editors regarding fair use templates in images, especially ones where boilerplate would suffice, such as album covers; but that's just my opinion. i guess that as long as i can keep helping to improve articles like this, i'll probably keep contributing. it gives me a warm glow.
